I'm hearing today for the first time from people I trust in the FSU program that Jimbo is gone. Apparently overnight things deteriorated VERY quickly between Fisher and FSU administration, Jimbo apparently was lobbying hard for a promise of a football only facility to start construction in the next year and also (another) raise comparable to what TAMU offered. From what I've heard the FSU admin is not happy with this happening for the last three years in a row and the fact that Fisher would continue this after a very disappointing 5-6 season. All indicators are that Jimbo never intended to take the TAMU job but now his relationship has soured so much with FSU that he might have to take it just to save face. It's been...very ugly and contentious. But don't expect any official announcement until after this Saturday's game.

Why not do it now though? They don't have another game to play this year, and there wouldnt be any official visits with them not in the ACC title game.

They do have another game. The game against ULM that was cancelled earlier in the year due to Hurricane Irma was rescheduled for this Saturday when it became clear FSU wouldn't be in the ACC title game. They also have to beat ULM to become bowl eligible. Jimbo gets an incentive bonus if his team makes a bowl game. So it is in his interest to continue coaching at FSU through this Saturday, despite how ugly the noise around him might get.

Adding to Jimbo story. FSU has requested Jimbo give them a firm answer today. Ugliness last night at the weekly coach call in show when a fan asked Jimbo about his loyalty to the program and the fan was physically ejected from the show. FSU has lost three recruits this week who cited coaching uncertainty as their reason. FSU admin is feeling Jimbo has embarrassed them and there is now doubt if FSU would allow Jimbo to coach the final game on Saturday regardless of his decision. My people have said FSU has already been reaching out to Willie Taggert and Justin Fuente about the job, with full expectations that Jimbo is leaving. Jimbo is scheduled to meet with the team just about now actually, so if he's going I expect him to tell his players today and the rest of us will find out very soon.

lol wasn't me but I do know the guy who shoved him out, he works in the FSU marketing department and is indeed a douche. He did rock a pretty sweet Dr. Pepper/Larry Culpepper Halloween costume last year though.

NCAA sanctions came down on Ole Miss today, they are banned from postseason play again in 2018, reduced scholarships, and a host of other things. The NCAA is allowing Ole Miss players to transfer without having to sit out a year. So basically RIP Ole Miss, we'll see you again in about a decade.
