According to the US Embassy in Bulgaria, US soldiers assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade had been simulating seizing and securing the Cheshnegirovo airfield in south central Bulgaria when the mistake occurred.

As part of the maneuver, the soldiers cleared building after building and moved into a factory next to the airfield that they believed was part of the airfield.

According to Bulgarian journalist Dilyana Gaytandzhieva, the owner of the olive oil factory filed a lawsuit following the incident.

As can bee seen in the footage of the incident, which appeared online last week, seven soldiers armed with assault rifles entered the wrong facilities. All of the workers present at the time of the incident appeared to have remained calm in the presence of the soldiers.

the mechanics of the compromise are a swirly burly mess, Bennett who won all of seven seats last election gets to be prime minister first as his defection from Likud gets the change coalition the 61 seat majority, and Lapid (who has always been the leader of the opposition and runner-up in elections) becomes prime minister after him. the coalition also includes both rightwing and Arab parties who uh don't see eye to eye on much, but i guess Netanyahu is really enough of a piece of shit to bring everyone together. the proposed coalition strikes me as real fragile the second disdain for him isn't unifying them given their deep ideological divisions.

well one has yet to actually be included and proposed coalitions fall apart at the 23rd hour semi-regularly but aye the plan is for Mansour Abbas’s Ra’am Party to join the change bois and give the 20-25% of Israeli's populace that is Muslim and/or Arab ruling representation for the first time in Israeli's history.
