There was a guy that was in charge of Abyssea that got ported over to work on XIV 2.0 precisely because the Abyssea refresh was so successful in XI (because "SE is actually listening to what players want!" so the masses claimed at the time). I could have sworn it was Yoshi P.

Tanaka came back to XI after that guy was moved up, but the damage was done.

    It was Mizuki Ito.

ITO: I’d have to say Abyssea. The Abyssea Trilogy was the first scenario I was allowed to direct, plan and create features and data for all by myself since first joining the FFXI Dev team. Abyssea brought a new sense of gameplay and flair that hadn’t been seen before in the game. I believe the trilogy proved and showed off to players exactly what our game was capable of.
    https://gamerescape.com/2012/07/30/s...to-and-fujito/

The development team is pleased to announce that Mr. Mizuki Ito, director of the Abyssea series of battle area add-ons and creator of a wide range of battle content to date, will be taking over the helm as director of FINAL FANTASY XI.

During the shuffle of staff during the XIV 1.0 flop, Matsui took over for Tanaka as Director of XI for Tanaka for a few months before getting moved to the XIV team. Ito was promoted after that because of said positive reception to his pandering bullshit.

lets be real tho, XI was already dead by the time Abyssea happened. WotG's glacial deployment, underwhelming non-mission/quest content, and lackluster endgame had already gutted the playerbase.

    Sooo about that healthcare...

Sorry about the rerail but I just saw that Trump is about to sign a new order further gutting the ACA now I can't find it anyone hear about more changes to the health care system? When are we going to see healthcare move in a positive direction rather than just continuing to tear it down?

January 2020, assuming that the left can convince enough people that any form of sane governance (dirty establishment stooge or not) is worth the effort of voting.

At this point I am skeptical because the majority of the voter block doesn't understand math and can't see that more people enrolling means cheaper and if you don't have more people enrolling there is no way to curb costs. So many people are so blind to that concept they sacrificed their own healthcare not realizing that they relied on ACA and voted in the people who destroyed it.

Not only that but having health insurance be a for profit game means customers will always be second to share holders.

So? We need to take a page out of the GOP playbook. We don't need the public's approval, support, or understanding. Just do shit and sell it later, even if you have to lie about it. Only our shit will be helping them, though they are too stupid to know it, rather than like making orphans out of Mexican kids.

That is the problem though is that if the democrats use anything out of the GOP playbook their base goes after them with an insane frenzy of hate. I would love it if people would get over superficial appearances and look at actual policy and allow the democrats to play dirty for once without it pissing off their base and everyone else.

I honestly can't see a solution at this time to dig ourselves out of this fucked up quagmire. Wait until all the old idiots die?

Our country is so stuck in the "I've got mine so fuck everyone else." mentality including the leadership.

Edit: Really what we need is undercover democrats to infiltrate the GOP get elected then about face on policies and get some real shit done to help people.

I think you'd see more dem voters willing to burn the bridge as one might put it.

Pack the courts. Nuke the filibuster. I'm ready to throw salt on the fields.

Everything but either you push 4 to 8 years of progress and hope it becomes so popular republicans won't kill it (See: ACA) or everything gets burned down.

And everyone loves to bitch about democrats doing nothing!

Post photos of them in the MTG thread in the gaming forum here. I am sure myself or one of many other people who play will either offer you money for them or at least help you understand their value. Generally speaking if someone put them in binders they are worth money. Though I have seen people binder up complete crap before so you never know. You could have some real value.
