As my parents and in-laws get old, this is a promising trend

That's great, figure dementia is kind of like cancer where eventually it's gonna get you the longer you're alive because it's just what happens but dementia always been a major concern of mine for my mom and stepdad. Seeing friends go through that shit with parents in their 60s and 70s was brutal

RFKjr wants to use herd immunity to stem bird flu.
Pandemic time ahoy
*sigh*
I know the pandemic sucked for a lot of people, but I was living my best life. No work. No traffic. Free money. Zero lines at stores. Zero line at the movies. It was incredible, bring it on.
Also not opposed to some herd thinning.
I swear I've been hearing about a potential bird flu pandemic my entire adult life at this point.

sick worldThe couple, who are Mennonites, believe their daughter’s death was the will of God. When Children’s Health Defense’s director of programming, Polly Tommey, asked specifically about parents who heard their story and might be “rushing out, panicking,” to get the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine, the parents rebuked the intervention that offered the best chance of preventing their daughter’s death.
“Don’t do the shots,” the girl’s mother said. Measles, she added, is “not as bad as they’re making it out to be.” She noted that her four other children all recovered after having received alternative treatments from an anti-vaccine doctor, including cod liver oil, a source of vitamin A, and budesonide, an inhaled steroid usually used for asthma.

It sucks that they're Mennonites, the people our herd immunity is supposed to protect

People too stupid to vaccinate their children deserve to die of preventable diseases but unfortunately that isn't how it works
Leaving aside the argument that infinity minus one million is still infinity, which was always the problem with a temporary purgatory and an eternal heaven, heaven isn't real so actually their punishment will be not having one more child.
Maybe one day we'll reach the point where not vaccinating your children results in child services taking the kids away. A man can dream.

Have zero patience for antivaxx bullshit and nothing will change my mind.
