I mean, it's a choice you can make in a system where you can pay $78389574358947 a month in insurance, just to not be able to claim a bandaid.

Some people just don't know what options are out there. Tyche and Kuro are both medical professionals, both are WAY more qualified to manage something like DIY HRT than most people who actually do it. And like, you can talk to your regular doctor about stuff you take outside of the normal channels. I told mine about taking Retatrutide and he was like "seems like it's working, cool".

Also when I said "places online to order labwork" to be clear I just mean a random online doc who will send a lab order to your local Quest or whatever, not that you're doing home blood draws and mailing it or whatever (that would be pretty nuts).

yeah thats what i had in mind when thinking of online bloods as well. just order and go drive to closest quest, ezpz
You're also likely to want to be talking to an endocrinologist as opposed to a general practitioner, and even those can be hit or miss on whether or not they support HRT. Of my online circle elsewhere, I've had 3 get on the titty skittles at varied points of time over the past few years and one had to do some major shopping around just to get consults. And they're also over 30, so it's not like they had the conservative fearmongering about child abuse working against them.
It's really not. I don't think you quite understand how absolutely ignorant the general population is about their healthcare. With that said, transgender people, like pregnant women, tend to come to their first appointment with more knowledge about the treatment process than just about any other patient population. People who tend to come to the doctor for positive or happy circumstances tend to be more well informed about their health care. My son knew more about his lab work going into his first first appointment that I did. I would be reasonably confident that most transgender folk could handle and manage their LAB work safely. They are a highly motivated group who are intent on getting it right. It's also a pretty small community that share a lot of information among each other.
It should also be said that this is also a group that undergoes a lot of mental health issues that could hinder their ability to keep up with their lab work. It's just best practice to let a third party do monitoring.
There are plenty of reputable online labs. That's why I avoid the rest.
My doctor charges $10 for blood work (cmp, CBC, etc). Not saying it's this easy for everyone, but if you tried really hard for a week on this I bet you could find something equally affordable (unless you live in a rural area).

(note that viruses, since they aren't cellular organisms, are classified outside of the Kingdom-Phylum-Class-Order-etc system)
While the new (2019) virus classification system does have a Phylum class, it is WAY down the chart, so various viruses are from different phylums. There's no one phylum target to wipe out all viruses.

If Dems take executive in 2028, nothing short arresting RFK should be considered acceptable. He's killed more kids than Trump has fucked... presumably.
it’s just gonna be a straight shot of ivermectin
If there any doubt at all how stupid your average person is just look at RFK because he's probably the smartest they can drum up and he's a fucking rock.
It's about the projection issues. Like Trump is doing it right now and everyone ignores it, but if a Democrat did it somehow the Republicans would be fifteen times more effective at convincing everyone that this was the fascist takeover.

Interesting exchange with my mom and stepfather (they're not actually married, but been together 30 years. He's my stepfather). My kid told them about starting HRT...I know this because my stepfather told me yesterday when describing a conversation with my mom. Context, my stepfather is the most apolitical person I know. Literally knows nothing. Probably couldn't tell you the VPs name. He probably votes Republican because he's a boomer in the South, but I don't know. Small business owner, would bend over backwards to help anyone do anything at the drop of a hat. Huge influence on me on how to just be a good person.
My mom is more liberal in how she presents herself. Still pretty apolitical. Almost def a democratic voter.
Anyway, stepfather tells me my mom told him she was worried about the HRT and how it may change him. My stepfather apparently popped off. Told my mom that my kid comes out there, does brakes, changes oil. He's as happy as he's ever been. And who cares anyway. No one. It's still Regan. Told her changing your mind in the future is unknown and does not make you happy now. Mom's not unsupportive, more just worried about her grandkid.
Like I said, shining example of a good dude. My sister also texted me about when he told her...I really am blessed to have this family in the South.
