That's less than the discount price Costco is giving you for ONE dose of ozempic. I also got a years worth of other peptides that have me feeling like a million bucks. Literally less than $2 a dose for my wife and I.

Can't overemphasize how life changing this medication is. My joints don't hurt anymore, I don't groan when standing up anymore. I have the energy to lift heavy things and put them back down without wanting to kill myself. And it only gets better from here!

I'm a little over 2 weeks in on Reta myself, and down about 8 pounds. Think I paid 150 for my first 10 vial kit of 10mg a vial, and started with a $50 reconstitution kit.

Just bought some more vials and syringes so I should be good for at least another year going forward on supplies, and may just need to get a new reta kit in sprint or summer depending on how much I move up.

I'm currently on 2mg weekly. Will probably jump to 2.5mg in a couple of weeks.

I read Bottle Full of Lies a while ago and our medicine supply system is fucked. The main thing we have going for us is that the US is an expensive market so no one wants to fuck up their access to it by getting a bad audit from the FDA at the border, so they tend to ship us the relatively less contaminated drugs. The crap they send to Africa / sell in India... it's not good.

At the time the book was written, a lot of the brand name drugs were still made in the US. Since then, they've mostly been shipped overseas, too. The FDA was understaffed to regulate domestic drug production and now is definitely understaffed to go play drug cop internationally, let alone trying to sneak in a little food regulation.

Oh well. Let them eat lead, I guess

Yesterday, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency culled the ostriches in Edgewood, BC. You all may recall RFK's comments and support for them.

The "do your own research" crowd has a lot of heavy lifting to do, check out these articles I stumbled across. Besides the fact that this farm had been raising these animals to slaughter them for their meat, leather, and oil for skincare products, they also ripped off a ton of people to get it started.

Extremists in Canada are running wild with this, a rallying cry of the antivax/convoy extremists against our government, it's truly disheartening.

The crocodile tears from the farm owners is so hypocritical. While they were slaughtering these animals up until 2020, and I'll give them an ounce of credit, likely in a much more humane way than the CFIA orchestrated yesterday, it shouldn't absolve them of their past business model. The right wing in Canada are having a field day and refuse to acknowledge these facts.
