Federal appeals court rules that workplace discrimination against homosexuals violates the equal rights act protecting people from sex discrimination.

I've always wondered why this argument wasn't used a decade+ earlier - if a woman is allowed to fuck a man and remain employed, but a man who fucks men is subject to firing, it's clearly discriminating against the man based on his sex.

The EEOC has pursued sexual orientation cases under this interpretation for a while, I believe the problem is that many localities will reject it and say its a discrimination on orientation case disguised as a discrimination on sex case and toss it. And you need an Court of Appeals precedent for the logic to become binding in a jurisdiction.
