Not sure where to put this, but this NYT data expose of race/gender and income is fantastic and fascinating.
This chart in particular really surprised me - black women being raised in a household of a certain income have extremely similar outcomes as adults as white women from the same income upbringing - but there's wide disparities for black men vs. white men.

Now, of course if you map those onto each other, the black men appear to do similarly (from the same income households) as the black women and the white women as well - just with higher high-end and lower low-end. Just nowhere close to the white men.
(and then of course the distribution of income households by race is greatly skewed towards white people so the actual outcomes are way skewed, but it's almost a chart for both the race>class and class>race schools of thought)
