By putting Roseanne on TV, ABC isn’t normalizing Trump-supporting racists, any more than Fox News normalizes mediocre, tapioca-pudding-flavored whiteness by including Tucker Carlson in its lineup. They exist. They are the whole reason we have a president whose IQ is smaller than the circumference of that herpeslike thing that keeps popping up on Michael Rapaport’s face.

Like legit the joke isn't bad. But the context on it sucks because Roseanne Barr is a piece of shit and its words that, while normalized, contains the contextualization of white washing. This after the celebration of Black Panther for its blackness.

Roseanne is likely gonna continue as long as she wants it. Its gonna bring in massive ratings because its nostalgic white comfort food sitcom in an era where its rare to have it syndicated. Unless she pulls a Paula Deen.

If Roseanne Barr goes full Paula Deen that show is cancelled.
