How black is black enough? This is kind of funny and ironic because light-skinned black people often face this kind of discrimination against the darker skinned spectrum of African Americans, and from white people trying to figure out their ethnicity. I'm not black, but as a somewhat light skinned Dominican my white as fuck mother used to get weird ass looks all the time when she used to walk me to school. Shit like that happened all the time where people wouldn't believe she was my biological mom.

Yeah...the Dominican republic was originally settled by the Taino (Native American) people, and then after European conquest it had a large influx of African slaves and some Spanish white settlers.

So if he's not fully white ancestry, he's almost definitely part African ancestry or native Taino (although they were mostly wiped out by disease).

I also used to get used to get a lot of looks when I saw more sun and tanned enough to be darker than my 100% mexi gf. For some reason my Danish side all tan really well

i'm a pale halfbreed mexican here. though techically i can tan, i just don't get out much.

i seem to confuse people a lot on what i look like though, having been asked if i'm from every major country in existence sans africa. even had a couple people mistake me for asian of all things.
