There is a multiplayer mode that I don't think anyone gives a shit about that needs the PSN sign in.

I think the multiplayer mode was actually very popular when it first came out, I heard a lot of praise about it back then. I only tried it for a bit myself when I played the game later on, but it did indeed seem pretty fun.

Gotta say, even though it's an older game at this point the PC port for this is fucking immaculate.

I am so tempted to try this on PC again and hook it up to my 4k HDR tv but I would probably only get 20fps lol. Nah, waste of money right now. It still looked beautiful even on PS4 Pro. I guess I'll wait for a Steam sale maybe.

The PC version has all the fancy upscaling or frame gen bells and whistles. But even then it runs so well I don't need the DLSS frame gen to get 120+ fps at 1440p on my laptop

The game seems to be super well optimized on PC. I have been watching videos today and people are getting 60+ fps at 4k without a 4090 with just dlss on and not much else.

Keep in mind it's a PS4 game at its core, with some PS5 visual upgrades on the side. It'd have been embarrassing if any PC in the last few years couldn't power through it.


Also didn't look like it was mentioned in the thread, but the PC multiplayer is cross-play with PS4/PS5 players, and PC does not require PS+ to do so.
Have been seeing the odd crashing with invites on the PC end, both ones sent via Steam and the PSN ingame ones that I've been tossing from my PS4, but once things are going, it's been pretty smooth.

[EDIT] Figures tonight on another day, we keep running into a problem where we enter a game and get greeted with a black screen, requiring everyone to reload the game.
