Don't know why I randomly thought of this..
As to the video... I was never a huge fan of the original. cgi looks dope though.
Moar cash grab remakes. Where's Tron 3 tho?

CGI is getting better all the time, so cool. I wanna see this. I like Disney movies so they can have my money.

Eh same problems I've had with other Disney live action CG. Looks great no doubt, but feels a little stiff and everything looks the same. Maybe it'll look better on the big screen we'll see.
Oh shit. Looks amazing
Looks sick.
Still not sold on new Scar voice though.
That shit got me kinda teary-eyed. Not gonna lie lol.
The shot of the stampede flowing into the canyon was what got me...
There are a few things that seem off to me since it is 'live action' instead of animated. One of the bigger ones was the issue of animals with human mannerisms (the scene where Simba and Nala are drinking together really stood out). Also the scale in a few shots caught my eye in a bad way (the two I really noticed were when Simba is running away from the hyenas and the scene with Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa walking as Simba grows up).
I didn't really notice these problems in The Jungle Book - I can't recall now if the animals actually "talked" with the lip flapping, that always puts me off though lol. I much prefer when animals have an internal narrative voice but communicate using body language (like in the Dreamworks movie Spirit for example). There's just something jarring about CG animals talking to each other.
I think I mentioned this in the Aladdin thread but at Disney World in their new fireworks show they do this big laser projection show on the castle, and at one point they project an ethereal Mufasa that blends in with the night sky and looks very similar to the scene in the movie. And then James Earl Jones voice booms thru every speaker in the park the line “REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE”, and I get fuckin chills every time.
