Well since I have seen it, I guess I can watch the trailer now to see if you're right.
But even if that is the case, there is still the vast majority of Marvel movies where I did feel the trailers revealed too much, that you don't, doesn't make my feeling different. So there being even just one exception to this rule won't change that for me when looking at past and more importantly future Marvel movies.
The Russo brothers filmed a lot of extra scenes for the trailers and some of the actors to purposely give misdirection and to fuck with those that have loose lips.
Depends on the movie. Spider-man essentially gave us the entire plot by trailer 1. But the last 2 avengers movies gives us very little, and even throws in fake scenes (almost like comic book covers) to give us the feel of the movie, but not spoil anything.
But if you can just not watch any trailers, thats probably even better lol
If you didn’t see it on premiere night you seriously need to go blackout mode right now, spoilers are everywhere online already. Already saw a spoiler highlight reel on YouTube that was potato quality ripped off an Asian subtitle version of the film.
Movie broke thursday night preview record with $60 mil. Previous holder was Force Awakens at $57m.

So many records, so little time.
I do wonder it will be able to break James Camerons hold on the top 2 highest grossing of all time.
I think it will pass Titanic.
Avatar seems insurmountable.
People getting antsy it might break $1B worldwide on opening weekend, that’d be nuts. And it’s only Friday night.
when comparing movies separated by decades you need to adjust for inflation to have the numbers mean anything, and when you so do Mr. Cameron's work is still very impressive slotting in at numbers 2 and 3, but the highest grossing film of all time is, easily, Gone with the Wind. a feat doubly impressive when you consider how much smaller the U.S. population was back then and how many foreign markets (such as essentially all of Asia) were not yet tapped into.
Endgame will undoubtedly crash into the top 10 of all time but hitting 3.7 is an uphill climb, Infinity War stalled out at just over 2.
What the fuck were people thinking giving avatar so much money? Fucking Christ
Avatar CG was amazing for the time dont forget. Movie was really well produced.

iirc a not insignificant factor was that the movie was one of the few legitimately better in 3D, and obviously those tickets are quite a bit more expensive.
Never seen avatar
