    Eh, get off it. It's impossible to do proper inflation adjusted estimates for Worldwide box office. Much easier to do it for Domestic.

    It's #1 by the metric that is used.

    it is embarrassingly ignorant to pretend like the value of a unit of money doesn't change over time. you can stick with the thought process that states Tron Legacy and Hotel Transylvania 2 were more successful than Gone with the Wind but it reeks of fanboys vested in pretending their film was even more phenomenally successful than it was.

    postscript adjusting for inflation abroad isn't much more difficult than adjusting for inflation domestically

    No one said that.

    All I said is there's no metric available to be able to do it for the worldwide box office because inflation rates are different in different countries. We don't have worldwide inflation adjusted charts, only domestic.
