Yeah terrible idea, I really hate prank shows. I liked Chris in certain situations like his podcast was ok his guest appearances on other peoples podcasts were pretty funny, but man his standup is atrocious, it's like he becomes a different person, really hate to see it. All my buddies were pretty big fans, they are all coping with his cancellation lol. I think the thing that says the most is hardly a single friend spoke in his defense, even his close friends were like "I never saw anything but you really hate to see all this come out" lol

ill admit, i'm not terribly fond of most pranks either, unless they're the cute harmless variety where the pranked person immediately winds up laughing as well. like the time i tried the "kitty cucumber" challenge on a coworker, to see what her reaction would be. (where you sneak a cucumber next to a cat, they tend to freak out from the sudden surprise appearance.)

snuck it up on the register next to her hand, then waited. after a minute, she picked it up and started rolling it between her fingers then went "wtf is this doing here" and started laughing when i told her she failed the kitty cucumber challenge, a reference which she got right away.

not fond of the evil pranks where people think they win a million dollars or something then get let down or the like though, or get scared out of their wits or traumatized. it's one thing to prank someone and make them laugh, another thing entirely to feel enjoyment by bringing someone down to their knees. (unless it's someone that seriously, seriously deserved it, and even then, the punishment really needs to be a form of justice that actually teaches them a lesson - something that helps them become a better person.) otherwise, i feel it's just something that soils your own self by taking part.

I remember him from Last Comic Standing and he was one of the comedians I genuinely thought was great.
