That's because Russell Simmons also just recently got accused of sexual assault from an incident in 1991. The story goes that a model went back to his apartment to watch some music videos that he and Brett Ratner were working on when Simmons allegedly ripped her clothes off. In the allegation she says she looked at Ratner and asked for help, but he did nothing while the assault took place.
