I did read the article. My response was based on that or more the only quote you pull. The article does a half way decent job of just presenting facts of individual cases and some inherent problems with the system and things like how many get thrown out without trying to link them.

The problem I have is people will try to link them and your single quote like and response make it sound like you are also trying to link them. When at best you can say from that article is the bar is too high, there are certainly specific cases are wtf, and as such a number of those thousands of cases should've gone farther. But what that number is even at a super rough ballpark needs a ton more data and the article even somewhat bemoans a lack of central database to attempt to track such a thing
