Since he is well known and married, he couldn't just have sex with a random stranger or someone within his town. As the article stated, he went after women within NBC because he knew he had power there. He could corner women in his office, drop his pants and in his mind it would go one of two ways: They have some inner desire for him and they go for it, or they would simply decline the "offer" knowing that because of the power he held, they wouldn't say anything.

People have been pointing to past interviews especially the sleazy one with Anne Hathaway in 2012 after a paparazzi got a photo of her exiting a vehicle and due to an issue with her dress she accidentally flashed a crowd. He starts off the interview with "Good morning. Nice to see you. Seen a lot of you lately" and then goes directly into the incident of the "wardrobe malfunction" and what lessons she learned from the incident.

It should be also noted that Cosby was mostly a retired old guy when all the allegations came out and Weinstein was still very much in the Hollywood scene when his stuff came out.

He didn't realize the person he DM'ed was a reporter. Whoops. After he was informed he was talking to a reporter he double downed with another sexual assault joke. The reporter made the conversation public and now Boone is backpedaling and apologizing.
