Dude was cleared of any wrong doing by an independent arbitrator (I guess that would be the right term to use for this person) and people are still upset. Its not even guilty until proven innocent, its just guilty.

I read it on these forums from a link but idr where. I'm sure if you Google the controversy it'll come up. Basically, after she had the baby following some complications, he was standing aside his mother in law talking to the doctor about her status and the first thing he asks the doctor after hes done explaining what happened is "so when can she have sex?".

I had said earlier, that I'm sure she has plenty of audio evidence. Fact of the matter is, he would do the openers for his podcast with his ex and they would have "inappropriate" conversations in them all the time. If there was something that she could have used to make herself come out ahead she likely would have done it already.

Yeah that was the ex's thing. She had an infection or something and was in the hospital. The mother was distraught and he asked the doctor right in front of the mother when they could have sex again. Or something like that.

Working in television is by definition gig work for most people. I'm usually getting a new job about 4 times a year, they're very used to it.

I have to assume that he's kind of an asshole on set as well, not just in his personal life, for them to be so upset about his return to quit though.

Or they just don't want ostracization if they feel like it looks worse to stay than leave, which is entirely possible.

What really helped Hardwick is that there weren't other women claiming mistreatment after the initial allegation - and that's what employers want to see, that there isn't a pattern of ongoing behavior that they will have to deal with, whether or not what his ex said about him being an asshole is true.

The arbitrator probably asked his ex for this proof and she balked. Hell, its been 3 weeks and were still waiting for this proof of his deeds.
