Human warrior here see you in stv brosef.
I reactivated my old wow account with gold to try classic, 5 hour queue time on the only RP-PVP server lol.
Playing on Kurinaxx till ques settle down. Might stay.
every NA and EU PvP server including the ones they added today are 5,000-15,000 queue long, the popular ones they warned would be 10,000 are 25,000 with 10 hour+ wait times. Blizz may have slightly underestimated demand.
Will be playing on Pagel if anyone hops on that server as well. (Still has a 2 hour wait time)
Yeah, whitemane had a 3 hour wait for me so I went to Old Blanchy and got to lvl 10 lol
I ended up re subscribing today , on Westfall as a troll hunter. I've basically only ever played a druid even when WoW launched so needed a change. I forgot the most basic of things like lack of flight paths early on and you need a damn skinning knife haha.
Bag space is at a premium and failing at gathering professions is something I didn't miss yet I'm loving the game as I remember.

is this worth a resub?
I never got into wow until after MOP so I missed the whole vanilla experience people had.
I think I'm going to run a rogue, horde side. Anyone have a guild with spots open or is it just casual so far?
Idk how to explain it, I wouldn't say it that way but I might because I can't think of a better way to put it.
It's WoW on hard mode. Without all the fluff that made the game more casual and easier and stupid. No flight paths everywhere, no group finders, running everywhere forever basically, dying if you pull two mobs, skipping training skills, no bag space, no summons, discovering instances. The game was great and had the biggest playerbase for an mmo for a reason, and there's a reason it doesn't any more.
I love it, some hate it, but I've also been playing on private servers running vanilla for a while. It's like an entirely new game. It's very slow, grindy, and tedious, but at the same time it's relaxing and nostalgic and calming to play. It's a better community. It's nothing like FFXI. FFXI was terrible.
Don't forget healers down ranking their abilities to be as efficient as possible. I think I had like 3 Greater Heals mapped on my priest's hotbar, and I only used max rank maybe 5% of the time if ever.
WoW classic servers are getting hit with DDOS attacks. Been going on for about two hours now.
Just a heads up if anyone was playing on playing today, you might not be able to.
It's a chance to experience an MMO before MMO's were really a thing, which WoW made mainstream. If you want to experience the pioneer frontier of MMOs, or or want to remember the golden days of yore, it's worth a month to dick around with. It's certainly something that makes you feel you earned whatever you do in the game, but it's not for everyone.
This sums it up pretty well though there were games like Everquest and Ultima Online that really set the groundwork for more.
I'm enjoying it because I work 12 hour shifts overnights so it gives me a chance to not feel like I need to catch up to everyone right now. Just casual play and leveling , having fun with the game I knew when it started. Though I forgot how awful some tanks can be and makes me regret not just making another druid lol.
