I picked one up a few weeks ago and its awesome, you may notice the tinyest amount of input delay but its usually not a game breaker.

You can also get to your desktop from minimizing Big Screen mode and you can luanch what ever app you like.

Basically, steam has in home game streaming. If two computers with the same steam account installed and running are on the same LAN network, then in home game streaming is available to run games on your desktop and then stream them to the system that normally couldn't handle running them.

Steam link gives you a small box that you can attach to your tv so you can do this with minimal hardware and game on your tv from your couch while running the games on your gaming desktop.

Just ordered one. Shipping was more expensive than the steam link. Fuck it though, for 11 bucks I just got a steam link. Too lazy to go to a best buy myself haha, closest one is like 3 or 4 exits down the highway.
