New trailer giving me Wreck It Ralph vibes that it's going to have tons of references and easter eggs to everything that ever had Mario stamped on it. Looks fun honestly, my kid's gonna love it for sure.

From the second he ran across the scaffold to Donkey Kong I knew the movie would be a love letter to fans.

Crisp Rat still isn't resonating with me, but Its not a deal breaker. Crispy as Mario Is going to be like sitting down at a Symphony and listening to the most beautiful orchestral songs you can imagine but the guy next to you is a loud chewer.

The trailers do look good, here's hoping it is!

My kid gives zero fucks about the voices and is 100% in lol. I'm sure this is every kid right now and the only people that care about the voices are the adults.

Mario and Peach are the only voices that don't really fit, but neither detract from everything for me. I think i have more tolerance for Pratt's voice because i love the GotG movies so much. Is he great? No. But honestly neither is Anna as Peach. Still going to watch and enjoy the hell out of this movie with my niece and nephew, though.

I think all 3 main voices are meh, but that's from years of hearing the originals. Jack Black is absolutely killing it, though. Everyone is 400% right, though, that kids won't give a flying fuck, and this movie will clean up regardless of how many of us adults are lukewarm over Chris Pratt and how many neckbeards are triggered that a Princess knows how to wield a halberd.

Charlie Day Lowkey sounds like a non Italian Luigi for me, which I can live with. Peach I'm fine with, sounds like a white blonde

But Mario man...just idk. Hoping in conversation it sounds better. The Woohoo they ended on wasn't terrible...

Still gonna see it though. I think its only us adults that are so picky. My 8 year old son thinks its fantastic.

...Its fucking Mario. The most recognizable face on the planet. Pokemon may be the most profitable, but Mario is the most recognizable. As long as there are no black folks in the film, it'll make a billion, because they'll be able to get it into China.

Got to admit Pratt's voice is growing on me more. Right now it's Luigi who I'm concerned about.

When casting was first announced I had thought Charlie Day was going to be Toad, because that would have been an amazing fit. As for Pratt, I'd really rather he just did his normal voice and not his Mario impersonation.
