FFRK - Another Ivalice (Tactics) Event & Strategies

Noone is here for Advanced characters. Don't kid yourself - True Waifu Event is here!

    DO IT FOR HER~!

"It's escapism! Can't you see? It's not healthy!" - Marche
"Marche, you got to relax. Just act natural...kupo!" - Montblanc

A young child who has just moved into a new town, Marche finds it hard to fit in until he makes two new friends: the shy Mewt Randell and the more outspoken Ritz Malheur. After the trio discovers an ancient book with Marche's brother Doned, they are transported to the magical world of Ivalice. Marche vows to return him and his friends back to their true reality.

Montblanc is Marche Radiuju's most prominent ally. Prior to Marche's arrival he leads the clan which eventually becomes Clan Nutsy. When Marche is teleported to the dream Ivalice by the Gran Grimoire, he incites the wrath of two pugnacious bangaa. Montblanc arrives in time to guide Marche through the systems of laws and engagements and helps him win the battle. After the introduction of the clan, he joins Marche on his quest.

All information is taken from a mixture of Reddit/Spreadsheets/Kongpakbao Site and my own obviously expert analysis.

Most info for the event comes from this site:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/FFRecordKee...ft_megathread/

Though the information provided is used as a guideline and not always taken directly from the thread. When necessary, additional thoughts on Cid Missions and battle strategies are added.

    New Record Sphere
    Marche: Sword Damage +3% (ouch)
Montblanc: Black Magic +9%, minor Silence resist.

Marche and Montblanc also get full Legend Dives in this event.

    Cid Missions
    • Complete 'Totema Mateus' with a party of only Marche.
    • Complete 'Soul Eater 凶+' with a party of only Tactics heroes.

    Relics
    Agrias.

Though if you're temped to pull for other stuff (eh...) or wait for the Alma/Cid banner (why?), there are goodies aplenty here for you.

Cid's stuff isn't that far off, and the Agrias stuff reappears on Banner 2 there for the most part. But this is chock loaded with Holy and Knight boosts that are hard to pass up.

    Banner 1:

Agrias' USB is a combo of her reverse wall Unique, and her en-holy SSB. 10 hits of holy/non on entry with an -Atk/Mag 50%, 15% damage boost to Knight abilities, and en-holy. The +holy element on the sword isn't RS locked either! Perfection.

Her workhorse BSB is back, also with +holy.

Ramza gets his full suite here. His new BSB is loudside with en-holy. Cmd1 is a 5x ST holy damage that does not generate SB gauge, while his Cmd2 is Wrath without the atk boost. His USB and crit boost SSB show up here, so there is a huge opportunity to have a do it all support character decked out.

Marche opens with a potentially gamebreaking USB for Knight characters. Entry is 10x ST holy/non damage with en-holy end EX mode Speed Combo. Speed Combo boosts Marche's atk by 30%, and quickcharges all Knight abilities for every character on the front row.

His BSB is a little more mundane, pairing an Atk/Mnd party boost with 8 hits of holy/non damage. Cmd1 is a ranged 3x holy/non Knight attack that provides a 15% Knight ability boost for 3 turns while Cmd2 is 2x holy/non hits with Sentinel.

Marche's SSB is a carbon copy of Sabins: 40% medica, esuna, Def+100%.

Meliadoul's BSB rounds out the banner.

    Banner 2:

    Spoiler: show
Nothing here matters, because Agrias can't use any of it.

Gaff gets a USB that isn't terrible, with a self Atk/Def boost, en-dark, and 10x random dark/non damage. He chases Darkness school attacks with Dark Might - 2x dark/non hits with 20% Drain Strike.

    His BSB returns here also.

Ovelia's USB is a solid instant Curaga, Last Stand, and Res boost. Cut and dry, but potent.

Montblanc's entries show up here, starting with his BSB. 10x ST fire/ice/lightning damage on entry with a party Mag/Def (Cid Raines) boost. In fact, Montblanc can almost replicate Cid here (no MM though): Cmd1 is 4 hits of tri-element damage, while Cmd2 is 2 hits and a Mag/Res bargain. His SSB offers a party Mag/Mnd boost with hastega.

Rafa's USB and BSB return here, as does Mustadio's BSB and SSB pentabreak.

    Legend Materias:
    • Banner 1 - Ramza: Begin battle with a full ATB gauge and CT0x1.
    • Banner 1 - Agrias: Moderate chance to doublecast Knight abilities.
    • Banner 1 - Marche: 25% damage boost to Knight abilities when using a sword.
    • Banner 2 - Gaff Gaffgarion: Trance mode: double cast speed.
    • Banner 2 - Montblanc: 35% chance to gain shortcharge 1 when using Black Mage abilities.
    • Banner 2 - Ovelia: Moderate chance to doublecast White Mage abilities.

Note: Removing the KBP link for now, as the event page hasn't been updated for a while now. Any objections?

I may move the event # to the top just for posterity.

    Bonus Battles
    Totema and Lucavi
    Famfrit (w/Floateye)
    HP: Famfrit: 70,000 - Floateye: 20,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Famfrit's attack.
    • Reduce Famfrit's resistance.
    Weak: None
    Absorb: None
    Resist: None
    Null: None
    Status Vulnerabilities: None

    Belias (w/ Archaeodaemon)
    HP: Belias: 90,000 - Archaeodaemon: 30,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Belias' magic.
    • Reduce Belias' attack.
    Weak: None
    Absorb: None
    Resist: None
    Null: Archaeodaemon: Holy
    Status Vulnerabilities: Poison, Slow, Blind

Notes: You only need to defeat Famfrit and Belias to win each battle.

Famfrit uses gravity and physical attacks only, while the Floateyes can confuse, blind, and silence.

Belias and the daemons do nothing fancy nor do anything you have not seen before.

    Lord of Fury ++
    Adrammelech
    HP:190,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Adrammelech's attack.
    • Reduce Adrammelech's defense.
    • Reduce Adrammelech's resistance.
    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
    Resists:None
    Null: None
    Vulnerabilities: Slow

Notes: 100% physical based, but there is an AoE slow to consider if you aren't blasting his with RW OSB's.

    Lord of Virtue +++
    Mateus
    HP: 210,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Mateus' magic.
    • Reduce Mateus' attack.
    • Reduce Mateus' defense.
    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
    Resists:None
    Null: None
    Vulnerabilities: Slow

Notes: Mateus can use AoE physical and magic hits, so pack both forms of mitigation.

You also have a ST slow/stun move to deal with, so you may want to slot Affliction Break or slow resist.

    Ultimate + Apocalypse Battles
    The Eternal Prince's Follower
    凶Babus
    HP: 250,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Babus' magic.
    • Reduce Babus' attack.
    • Reduce Babus' resistance.
    Weak: None
    Absorbs: None
    Resist: None
    Null: None
    Vulnerabilities: None

Notes: Only 2 damaging attacks. Yup, only 2 - AoE piercing fire magic damage and a weak ST physical hit. Pack protect and MBD/PBD.

The other thing to watch is a AoE 48% stop chance for front row characters.

Babus does have a 100% counter rate when hit with a physical attack.

    Soul Eater ++ (U)
    凶Adrammelech
    HP: 310,000
    Target Score:
    • Exploit Adrammelech's weakness to ice attacks.
    • Reduce Adrammelech's attack.
    • Reduce Adrammelech's attack.
    Weak: Ice
    Absorbs: None
    Resist: None
    Null: None
    Vulnerabilities: None

    Moveset:
(Default only) Attack (PHY: ST 110% physical)

Firestream (NAT: 2T 202% ranged physical fire)
    Lightspeed (NAT: ST 344% physical)
Howl of Rage (NAT: FRAOE 123% chance to Slow)
凶 Howl of Rage (NAT: AOE 240% piercing0.5 ranged physical, 102% chance to Slow)

(Default/Weak only) Soulsphere (NAT: 3T Osmose)

(Weak/V Weak only) 凶 Soulsphere (NAT: AOE Osmose)

Notes and Strategies: You can leave shellga alone. No need for it here.

His ability drains can be a little annoying here, and its use is scripted to be used at the start of Weak phase (70% HP) and Very Weak phase (40%). Ice weakness, with a neutral spate of every other element, means it benefits you to burn him quick.

Some of his attacks are ranged, so back row won't entirely save you. Also, the only element Adrammelech uses is fire. Pick between that and slow resist for accessories.

Cid Mission: Nothing really fancy for this CM, honestly. Mitigate what randomness you can with high hone 4* abilities or realm BSB commands, mitigate accordingly, and watch for slow.

His first 2 forms are pretty tightly scripted, so if you can time it to burn that last 40% using Agrias or Cid, do so.

Since you're probably going to be bringing Ramza in some form...Affliction Break can save you that slow proc while wearing fire resist accessories.

    Deceiver (Apoc + and Jumpstart)
    滅Mateus
    HP: 480,000
    Target Score:
    • Reduce Mateus' magic.
    • Reduce Mateus' attack.
    • Reduce Mateus' defense.
Weak: Dark (ZOMG - no Lightning)
    Absorbs: None
    Resist: None
    Null: None
    Vulnerabilities: None

    Moveset:
(Default only) Attack (PHY: ST 110% physical)

Southern Cross (NAT: AOE 486% magical holy)
Spellbind (NAT: ST 400% ranged physical, 300% chance to Slow and/or Stun)
Breath of God (NAT: AOE 278% ranged physical)
Thundaga (NAT: ST 450% magical thunder)
Thundaga (NAT: AOE 450% magical thunder)

(Weak/V Weak only) Slowga (WHT: AOE 102% chance to Slow)
(Weak/V Weak only) Graviga (BLK: AOE 102% chance to deal 50% current HP damage)

Notes: Mixed offenses, bring both mitigation forms.

Slow RNG is what can kill you, even though the elements used here are holy and lightning. 300% chance for Slow/Stun on a potent ranged physical hit is something to watch out for. A 2nd stacking breakdown or Wall use can help.

And to top that, the AoE slowga chance is at 100%. This will come to start each phase change at 70% and 40% HP...so have Astra or Ultra Cure ready if you can. May even want to hold off on hastega use (RW or otherwise) until you hit that 70% threshold if you can manage it.

Jump Start Notes: No changes from the previous fight.

Agrias and Ramza banner (but mostly Agrias)?

I'm in. The game threw Agrias SB's and BSBs at me like no one's business.

I think it's trying to tell me something. Don't fail me now, RNG.
