The biggest issue I see with it is that the MF smashed into the wall in the cruiser that Chewy and Han had... but didn't do anything to the hull. Either the MF should have got smashed, or the door should have been busted open.

Yeah, this was annoying as fuck. The entire time I was expecting some reveal of Benicio's character to have a similar flower pin hidden on his coat to reveal he was the actual hacker, or at least some moment where he shows that he stole it back from the guy (who he may have lost it to gambling or etc, etc) who had it when they arrived or something to that extent

But all this goes along with that entire plot line in the movie being pointless and actually causing way more harm then help for the resistance in the end lol. I mean, I did like the symbolism and the whole "resistance represents the repressed" and etc, etc imagery they were trying to portray, but from a story telling stand point, it was pointless

Also, apparently I never noticed the gold dice from the original movie, or TFA. I was like.. why is Luke giving Leia dice?

They were han's dice. Only seen in New Hope and TFA. I never thought they made a big deal out of them before but I guess they wanted you to associate them with Han.

The one thing Finn was trying to do that actually might have mattered, was ruined by that girl. I was like holy shit.. he's going to do it, they're going to make Finn a martyr and save the rebels. But no, the girl was selfish and ruined the moment, probably one of the few "emotional" moments.

He could have pulled an Independence Day and exploded the cannon, there would be a glimmer of hope, but then something else happened them pinned them in further, and it would have still easily be lead to what Luke had to do.

I thought Finn was going to somehow be tracked to Luke. Knights of Ren + Kylo vs. Luke and Rey, interrupting her training, and then Rey would be kidnapped. This is how I thought she would end up in Snoke's throne room.

I like that they were both played by Snoke. He set them up and used their emotions against each other. It honestly was probably one of the best things done in any SW movie. The push and pull (or pull and pull) from Rey and Ren was really well done. She initially completely hated him, but then as they continued their conversations, they tried to speak as equals. Ren even managed to almost convince Rey of his side of the story, almost.

Remember when Snoke was talking about the Hok, and how easily manipulated he was due to his temperament? Ren realized when Snoke was talking to Rey, that he had also been completely manipulated. This is when Snoke sensed his clarity in what he needed/wanted to do, and this is when Ren decided it was time to wipe out the past, Snoke, Luke, the resistance, all of it.

Finn was robbed a bit imo. But I'm hoping he can make up for it in the next one.

Also it seems that people are becoming more natural with the force, which is pretty cool, no more of having to train since you're 3 to be fluent with the force, it seems like a natural progression which is pretty cool for the universe as a whole.

It really goes along with the whole theme of balance. There are fewer and fewer people out there able to teach and train about the force, so people are becoming more attuned to it instinctively and naturally. It's always there and there will always be a light and dark side to it regardless.

My movie was nice and silent. No cheering for the opening scroll, no clapping at the end. Just a quality movie watching experience. Which might partially explain why I'm so happy with the movie

We had one person trying to start claps or cheering, but that was it. No one followed up on his bullshit lol.

I do actually wonder what people expect from a Star Wars movie, but it checked all the boxes for me. Space battles, lightsabres/jedi, new planets/exploration, stupid cute shit and awesome spectacle. Enough nostalgia at the very least to those who have seen the original trilogy and wasn't a copy of Empire Strikes Back.

Some of the writing and humour was weak but it's not like you can't find stupid shit like that in any of the movies. Not perfect but I would put it on track with the rest of the newer movies.
