As a big Bayo fan, this trailer makes the game looks very bad to me. It’s like they took everything that I didn’t particularly enjoy about the first games and then just doubled down on those aspects. I’ll still wait until I see more solid gameplay, though.

it looks kinda rough aye, medio graphics aside, but trust Platinum to make another banger combat system. hopefully core gameplay is as crunchy as ever.

Huh, it finally has a date. I wouldn't be shocked if it gets delayed into 2023 like everything else announced for this year.

The story looks like absolute nonsense as usual, but I don't think anyone is really playing these for the story. All about the gameplay.

It also looks much better (though still held back by inferior hardware) than the last time they showed it. I'd say I'd pick it up when it goes to the bargain bin, but it's Nintendo published so that probably won't happen. It's almost going head to head with God of War, pretty ballsy.

On one hand I'm tempted to play the game but on the other fuck them for giving that offer. 4K is a hell of a low ball with how popular the series became.

Jennifer Hale costs way more than 4k so it's not some penny pinching thing, I'm sure there's more we don't know.

She might’ve used some consumer loans expecting a higher pay from Bayonetta and hella pissed after getting $4000 offer (apparently initial one was even lower). I don’t know what she does for living but according to imdb she hasn’t done any acting for 8 years. Bayonetta is her last work.

That said, if your company and product IS earning A LOT, fair practice is to reflect some of that on your workers. That means increased wages for steady workers and higher pay for creative ones (that are getting paid per work). $4000 for main voice actress of the game sounds indeed extremely low -independent from the market rate-. Have to hear both sides but the story signals super cheap ass-ness for developers. For the same work, an indie studio paying $4k would be acceptable but Bayonetta 3? That’s really pathetic.

Krandor’s definitely got a point that Hale’s got the be a lot more expensive and I’m sure she has plenty of work opportunities with no need to settle. So maybe she was just difficult to work with or, maybe they’re going to pull a MSG2 on us and Bayo actually only has an extremely small roll in this game. The possibilities are endless.

I’m 99% sure this has a lot less to do about Plat games and more about Nintendo being mega cheap. Kamiya dod say if it wasn’t for Nintendo, there would be no Bayo 2, they pretty much funded the entire game afaik. Both sides of the story need to be said tho. Jennifer Hale is premium price in regards to her talent and all.

Fuck it, i’ve waited a long time for this, i’m buying the game, it’s 2 weeks away, funny how this came to light now rather than way earlier.
