Probably safe to say her work in games is over.
Unfortunate since VAs getting the short end isn't uncommon and something like this is probably going to set back advancements in unionizing and industry standards. Even if the alleged 450m is only really 1/5th that or so, it's still not an insignificant number. A lot of games would kill to break 1m sales and it's sad it took a decade for Nintendo to get around to a sequel.
Finished this on Infinite Climax finally and this is a very good game with a few issues. Combat is good (better than Bayo 2 for sure) and the amount of variety is actually insane, I just kept getting new weapons and there are more than a few that are secret unlocks. They all have unique movesets (including umbral spear) and strengths/weaknesses so experimenting with them all is a lot of fun. Not many duds but the slow weapons don't feel nearly as good with how aggressive enemies are, and the ranking system is a bit more lenient than before so going for pure plat doesn't feel like a chore.
Summoning is also a lot better than I thought it would be, and doesn't trivialize combat but it's kinda annoying that some enemies are designed with using them in mind so fighting them without becomes a pain. I think my only problem with the variety is with the Switch itself, going into a menu to change weapons/demons is very annoying and breaks flow even when you aren't in combat. Like an extra weapon set or another demon set would've been great for that.
Story wise it's the usual Bayonetta stuff, better than 2's story just because it is batshit insane even by Bayonetta standards. Viola is a better character than I thought she would be for the story, but holy shit I hated her combat style and loathed playing as her compared to Bayonetta. Even after switching control styles I just couldn't get with her gameplay.
Final challenge is beating the secret boss, but holy fuck it's hard this time compared to before. Will definitely put in a lot of hours trying to get pure plats on everything and trying out every weapon and demon, probably just as much as Bayo 1.
So far my only real complaint is Viola. Besides looking like a Fortnite character her combat feels off compared to Bayonetta for me.
Just finished too. Still holding my opinion about Viola but besides that had a blast and loved the wide range of weapons.
Also if I'm understanding that one scene with the final boss correctly...
Spoiler: show
EDIT: Nope. I was wrong. Post-credit boss fight. NOW I'm done and honestly hope Bayonetta 4 doesn't happen.
