Some new relics from JP's upcoming Fest: Arcane Overstrikes for Lulu, Rydia and OK (lol) as well as USBs for Tyro and Squall (most likely the Brave variety). I'm not sure if Squall's weapon design is just fancy or if he's making the jump to fire now lol.

Anything that stands out on the bsb select? I find the advice from the reddit a bit suspect right now since they think picking squall bsb is better than ignoring said bsb since I can just use Sora (that I admittedly didn't mention had asb, usb, bsb, glint, and dive.)

The reason Squall BSB is #1 pick is its all you need to make Squall a beast, esp if you LD him, its worth the pick, even if you have a pimped out Sora, the two together can pretty much wreck anything not resistant to ice.

If you don't want Squall though, there is Garland BSB2 (not as good since no dualcast, but still good for phy darkness) and Kefka BSB2 (just as good since he has dualcast in LD).

I'm sure there are more Squall types that i'm forgetting.

Edit: Other BSBs to consider: any healer burst you are missing for a realm, Seph BSB2 (dark+ Katana), Vayne BSB (dark+ fist and he excels for phy/mag darkness), Ace BSB (Isgebind), Papalymo BSB, Alphinaud BSB, Snow BSB, Cid Raine's BSB, Lightning BSB2, Firion BSB, Tidus BSB2, Edea BSB, Fujin BSB.

I'm sure there are more that others will recommend.

Hard to recommend something without knowing which ones you have or not. Some of these are also on the free selections if you haven't picked anything yet and if you really don't care for any just go for elemental gear instead. I'm personally going for Squall if I don't get his tonight but that's because I need more ice DPS.

Another thing to consider is that Squall has a definite future, whereas Sora is unknown. Sora will only get new items if they do more KH collabs. I'd personally just go for Squall for that reason alone. And 35% W-cast > 25% from Sora's glint, and not needing to use a glint to put up En-Ice if a fight takes longer than 25s.

You're gonna use Sora's Glint regardless now that it's been buffed but overall yes, Squall is a safer investment. If Sora gets another banner soon enough he's gonna become even more broken for sure though (assuming you can pull his stuff obviously).

The thing I like about Sora is that the name of his C2 changes with the number of charges. I'm usually only paying like 40% attention and will miscount the charges

Off the top of my head:
*cutting out most characters that only have a SSB or lmr

Alocyte book VII and IX remain. I'm eyeing a fire+ staff from book IX, but waiting on if I can manage to get Terra a fire+ sword from fest.

Current fest plan is at least 3x pulls on banner 1 and then see wth I can scrounge up for whatever banner has the least dupes.

I'd go with either a healer BSB you're missing or Squall's. Your physical ice team could use an extra DPS (or an upgrade over Ayame). We have Neo Torments coming up (FFV's is coming very soon) as well as 5* magicites requiring physical/magical teams for each element. Maybe you should try building teams for each of these and see where you're missing that extra potential damage or support.
Neo Torment release order will be: FFT>FFV>XII>VII>VI>VIII>IV>XIII>XV>X>XIV>IX>III.
Magicites will be: Lightning>Water>Fire>Ice.

At least you only need 3/5 realm characters to do the 2nd difficulty neo-torments. As for the hardest ones, an ssb probably won't cut it. Heck I'm still missing a native haste for FFV and Medica for FFVII

Haste shouldn't be an issue with the upcoming Hastega ability, medicas are still a much bigger deal overall.

Sounds like i'm stuck with Lenna unless I pull her on RoP. Laguna should be getting a pull for ice chain once the banner comes out so Eiko has a decent chance of dropping for me as a package deal if she's on the banner too.
DeNA had better not FINALLY drop the Xi banner i'm waiting for right after the fest is over.
Do the lucky draws show up before I have to pick a bsb? Lenna's bsb is super subpar compared to most healer bsbs.

Which one? She has two now. Lucky draws don't have any medicas though so I'm not sure how that's gonna help, last one has guaranteed USB but the pool is full of junk after that (uniques, shared, no SB relics included).
Laguna's Chain is showing up on the FFVIII event so there's no chance for Eiko there.

Lenna does get a pretty damn good instant medica + guts USB2 in the Galuf Chain / Butz AOSB banner coming soon if you already have plans to pull, otherwise i'd suggest her BSB2 since its better then BSB1 (reraise is still so useless).

Edit: Her USB is Curaga Medica + Guts + 30% Stoneskin.

Since I'm somewhat sure that my mythril won't have recovered by then I'm leaning towards eiko now as I'll have an easier time getting FF8 up to speed than FFV right after fest. I'll certainly try for the FFV if I get a chance.

For those who are or have run the Andy emulator for this game, someone posted a warning on Reddit that it installs a "bitcoin miner" on your PC. Doesn't effect me since I have to get a new hard drive anyway for my laptop.
