The first two, to me, were just full on bumrush ASAP.

The third form seems to be much more measured, and similar to the Weapon fights where longevity outpaces damage here since the attacks are so scripted. BSB's are likely the order, since you only need 20-30k for many of the push back.

2nd one: just go all out
3rd one: you basically won't get any meter from it attacking, so I used chain+imperil (first fire to get 15 pushbacks, then darkness for 17 and that's about maxed out for me). About midfight it'll drain a lot of your hones with Annul and later on it uses Wail to give you -75% atk/mag for a short time (yes, it doesn't hurt mind!) and eviscerators for guaranteed interrupt.

EDIT: Specifically fire team included gilgamesh chain, terra and such luminaries as undived locke and sora. Dark team had undived nabaat for her burst, undived seifer with chain, and used burst commands+allegro.

So I only have 160 raid left of the 7th book of trials now, but Siren kicked my ass so hard it didn't seem even remotely feasible with my current gear/honing unless I am missing something silly, are all 160 raids this punishing so I just need to figure it out (out of stamina now) or do I just bide my time a little?

They're generally easier. If you come on discord, I'm sure someone can help you out in multiplayer.

I'll try the next one and see if I can do it myself first (stubborn! ) But might have to come crawling later. Irksome to be stuck on this just before the magicite stuff!

Finally some info on Lilisette! Her USB has Imperil Lightning, ATK/MAG/DEF crush and afterwards she gets a chase (5 hitter wind/lightning celerity) from any dance or celerity ability, BSB has Full Breakdown and 2k party HP stock with MAG Breakdown and Medica commands and her LMR is dualcast Celerity.
No info on her Dive or skillset yet but you can assume Dancer 5* and Celerity 5* at least. Also Prishe is now a thunder monk with Ability Double and Curilla gets the slot saver treatment with Protectga, Shellga, Last Stand USB and a frontline heal chase from Knight abilities.

Edit: NVM, they moved it to banner 2 so that you need to pull on both to do SL. Also thankfully, all relics from AV banner are introduced here, so we won't miss out on Zeid/Ayame/Prishe USB and LMRs.

We may still get the AV banner though. It was an anniversary event which is in October for NA, DeNA may simply have pushed it back a little for that reason.

Btw Lilisette's LM2 has been mined and it seems to be a Medica chase from dances. If you have her USB and dive her she can DPS and heal at the same time which is pretty neat imo.

mea culpa, if I had kept up with the thread I would probably have known, just picked it up after a several years absence.

Feeling the mythrite pinch!



what do people do here? just stockpile until 1k+ and go ape on one single category of 50 for 11's target and hope to get enough of the same to upgrade to 7 or 8 or does it rotate back frequently enough that you'll get significant later chances anyway?
( I have about 484 mythrite now, and getting to the point where I'm not making that much of a dent in mobs anymore, and unsure if I need to put all my mythrite on one big spree, or if it's better to spread it out and aim for synergy effects and levelling lots and lots of characters for dungeon synergy?
Spending all my stamina now levelling characters since I don't have the spread and amount of jobs high enough for some of the final nightmares, and looking with terror at the mote dungeons that are left of the 8th book of trials.

It's a bit of a pain to google with all the changes over time to the game

There is not much use in gunning strictly for 7 or 8* upgraded items...more for the min/maxers who care about doing 9999x10 instead of 9998x10. Variety of SB's for different characters supported by a few meta defining relics (Onion Knight USB's, Tyro, instant healer USB's) will do way more for you than a single 8* sword.

200-300 mythril will generally get you a big part of any single banner, though in aiming for one specific item you're safer wanting 4 or 500 mythril.

Overall meta game is transitioning from having 6-8 competent teams each specializing in an element to realm focused teams that are self sufficient in that realm. For right now (i.e. attempting to catch up a bit), you're better off waiting for the upcoming Rinoa/Quistis banner or the next fest banner set (mid to late September) to pull heavily on.
