Seems like Bartz is at it again! He just got another USB in JP that's wind based so he's probably gonna get more for the other elements (like his BSBs). Lenna finally gets an instant cast Medica with Regenga and bar-ice/water, Faris gets a BUSB and Krile goes earth with a new USB. Overall the power creep here is real.. Krile's is basically 2 USBs in one (fast casting buff+ en-earth+ chase, extra hit with Galuf in party).

News from JP for the anniversary:

-Plans for 6* Dark Matter have been scrapped, they'll implement other ways to enhance gear;

-Did a poll on stream to see if players want FT fights back, Yes won;

-New feature: Magia Crystal. New way to enhance lvl.99 characters, there are 12 crystals and you can power up elemental damage and resistances plus other stats, only lvl. 99 characters can earn Magia exp and each level is one point to expend on the crystals. Can also reset your points but only once every 14 days.

-Relic awakening/ Legendary Weapon Record: allows you to bring an equipment piece to 8*, gives all element minor RS boost and NE minor RS boost to gear, can be accessed in a new menu and there are 12 chambers inside (one for each gear type), requires a Rainbow Crystal which is obtained by using Rosetta Stones or feeding relics, you can now automatically sell or change into crystals 1*-4* gear after you get them, seems limited to one piece per realm for each chamber (this is an extra augmentation after 8* it seems).

-100 extra Vault slots up for expansion.

-3rd soundtrack announced.

4th anniversary specific stuff

-LMR, OSB, USB Lucky Draws;

-Boss event: History Institute (featuring God Kefka!)

-Gift dungeons (30 mythril only?), ticket Orbfest as usual (for JP)

-Free Tyro Arcane from new dungeon

-Jump Rope event from FFIX, can gain free equipment (guessing accessories). Apparently they also mentioned Lightning dodging lol (for the future I suppose)

-Special realm dungeons with missions

-Dimension Shinryu and Omega /w new 6* accessory (Mod. Fire/Ice/Water resist).

-Freezing Quadstrike from login bonuses

-Dream selects: ASB,OSB,USB,LMR,BSB,Glint

-New SB type: Awakening Arcane/ Awakening Mode. Boosts a character's element/school for a brief period of time. For example Tidus' grants: Sharpshooter ability boost, Dualcast Sharpshooter, Infinite uses for Sharpshooter skills, damage cap break to 19999 (holy shit lol).

-Free 40 pull after you clear a quiz battle.

Arcane Awakening is basically a LM EX mode, but we're probably going to start seeing 3 and 4 mil HP fights to compensate.

These are not the same crystals used for ability hones. The Rainbow crystals are exclusive material for the new upgrade system.

Yeah, look above New SB type so other characters will get theirs with the 4th anniversary Fest.

Be aware his new SB has overflow DMG lvl 1 listed. So probably setting up for all current overflow to lvl 1 and eventually upping it to the traditional 999999 cap.

I think it's a pre-emptive move to make these effects not stack with Cloud and Sephiroth's USBs.

Some other 4th anni news for JP include pullable Realm Chains (Torments are getting a new RW on top of the Chain one), you can get a new free Vivi USB from the jump rope minigame event and crystal waters will become farmable.
