Considering its Nunes who did some borderline solid snake shit to meet with white house officials the day before he revealed that conversations by Trump transition officials may have been inadvertently picked up by U.S. surveillance. I'd say at the very least the memo has some strong ulterior motives.

Not ignoring the fact he's a politician, but still curious and Im not going to dismiss it just because of his political party. You keep acting like the memo is being dismissed by people here because it's from a Republican source. This is wrong. It's being dismissed because the source is Devin Nunes and it is about an investigation that he was forced to recuse himself from because his actions displayed an obvious bias towards Trump.

The memo is related to an investigation he's not supposed to be a part of because he couldn't be trusted to act impartially.

Well already know what the Crux of the memo is. Nunes took some fisa data, found out rosenstein authorized extending surveillance on Carter Page, because the dude is literally a fucking Russian agent. The fact they're blocking Dems from releasing their memo contextualizing the Nunes memo, a dude that may end up in fucking jail before this is over with, is all that you need to know about the partisanship of this memo. Justice Dept said releasing it would be wreckless. But as we know, national security be damned when the GOP is attempting to save their own ass.

Because it's probably not so much the conservatism that is ticking people off, it's the incompetence and corruption. The people who are pissed off about the conservatism should be reliable votes already.

No, but Carter Paige is/has the reasonable suspicion of being one from what little of the investigation has been leaked or officially confirmed. We know Trump associates contacted Russians, this is fact, and if in relation to that the FBI wanted a warrent to spy on someone acting as such, they'd use a FISA warrent. I don't see any problem here, do you?

I don’t know about a Russian agent, but the dude obviously either did or is attempting to cover up or thwart investigations into the transition team. I don’t think that’s particularly debatable at this point. He was supposed to be leading an independent investigation, yet was making visits and taking talking points from the White House to undermine his own investigation while making completely unsubstantiated claims about surveillance in the Obama administration he got from sources...in the trump administration.

Carter Paige at the least had undisclosed discussions with the Russians. Russians that we used FISA warrants to wiretap, which Paige got caught up in. The fact that a FISA warrant was used on him isn't surprising because it's specifically used in instances like this.

The memo is about possible improper usage of FISA warrants to tap Paige, but how is it improper if he was talking to Russians he shouldn't have been talking to?

Also, if Nunes didn't shill for Trump when he was supposed to be conducting an independent investigation, why did he recuse himself after it came out he literally went to the WH to brief him on what's going on with the investigation?
