LOL this Apologyman vs Kazunoko intro
I keep trying to give DBFZ a chance, but god damnit, this game is as non spectator friendly as they come.
Spectator wise, I can't think of a game with a worse combination of low execution, low damage, stupid damage scaling, worthless comeback factor, than this game. Every match feels like a 15 minute slog.
W-why don't they just increase the fucking damage, god damnit Arcsys.
Damn, US is getting BODIED this top 8.
Yeah they are...which is crazy because at the last tourney I watched, JP was getting fucked washed free by US.
0 - 12
Yeah this top 8 is the worst timeline lol sweeps all over
Yamcha did it for Bulma.
Goichi's Cell was an outright liability against Kaz. I assume Kaz has seen so many goddamn Cells that he knew everything that was coming.
Still a great event. US got rocked by Clubber Lang this time. Time for a training montage before EVO.
Yamcha MVP! awoooo
I dunno. I feel like Cell will still be in the overused category at EVO, but you definitely have a point about top players having so much knowledge of the matchup. Makes me really happy to see Yamcha win this after all the jokes about him being top tier when announced.
I kinda expect another round of adjustments coming soon. Just not sure if it will be pre or post EVO. Cell is probably getting that nerf bat.
Cell is good but can be beaten. Kaz's kid buu was ridiculous tho. S into high/low was too stronk
RIP NuckleDu.
DBZ is lacking character variety but shit that top 8 was fun to watch. I don't want Cell to be nerfed then we see another character of the season but seeing Yamcha and Piccolo do work gives me hope.
Seems the Northeast / West coast FGC players are real unsettled by Daytona/Confederate flags lmao. I knew it was a matter of time, before people brought it up. Daytona is a cesspool. I know it makes sense for Jebailey, since Daytona is cheap as dirt, but damn does that place suck some ass.
I'd prefer to see nothing but buffs across the board, but we know most companies go straight for nerfing half the systems into the ground when it comes to balancing. A game with a universe as wild as DBZ should have as many high-flying characters as possible, but I'm imagining some serious gutting of talent post-EVO, instead of just making everyone absurd in their own special way.
I'm hoping I'm wrong, though.
I want to see a Vegitto player!
There was one Vegito player in top 24! He actually did some work on Saturday.
Oh, yeah. That guy who was playing the Vegito Blue, Vegita Blue, Cell team. That pretty fun to watch. I kinda want to see more Krillins, but that's just me.
I didn't see anything about this until today and complaints about the city coming out of the woodwork lol. Daytona is definitely something else if you aren't used this part of the South. CEO is there for another year due to the contract Jebailey has with convention center but I'm already seeing people say they won't attend next year even though the actual event was good.
In other brighter news, Infiltration's top 8 entrance got the attention of Val Venis himself.
A character in DBFZ being good mostly means they are better at locking the opponent out of playing for as long as possible with oppressively long blockstrings. They need to nerf a lot of shit (or introduce mechanics that indirectly do so like pushblock) if they want the game to be anything other than unga into single player blender.
No character is doing any 'high-flying' when they are in blockstun for 10 seconds.
