Meh. I was hoping for the full season roster reveal again with possibly Rose included. Wanted to play the game for probably a week again before uninstalling.

CC2018 was significantly worse and less hype than CC2017. At least, give the damned silhouettes...
If you're really wanting to buy Kage by the way, just go to the option to purchase the battle costume and get him from there. Little obtuse but not unexpected.
so between raid session, football & xmas party, my sunday was jam packed with zero room for capcup. who actually won
Kage has Dan like fireballs (even with trigger).
He doesnt get Oki after super or anything that I have found so far.
His walk speed is bad
His parry is underwhelming
On the good side...
His heavy axe kick is safe on block +3 and is +5 on hit..
He can combo into Demon
He has some frame traps
Throw range seems above average
V trigger 2 is better than 1
His red fireball start up/recovery makes up for the dan fireballs.
Watching his trials on a stream and his combos look pretty dope.
I'm going to give him a try when I get home. Seems like he's going to be a fun glass cannon. More importantly though, it seems like most of the balance changes were built around character freedom, which is a good sign. Sakura, Blanca, Chun, and quite a few others actually have interesting combo routes now.
The interesting changes seem to only apply to the characters shown in the trailer. Rest of the roster is just a few number tweaks and nothing else really.
All the buffs and nerfs seem ok so far, some new combo paths and some old combos deleted too. I wanna say that Ken got obliterated but Ken boys bitch so much it's hard to find out if he actually got wrecked.
I'd honestly say it's too early to tell. Players are notorious for being wrong about a character (Akuma/Urien/Zeku) until someone actually puts in work. She was never really in a good place though and iirc only one person ever really tried to make her work.
In other news, another tournament (Anime Ascension) has announced that DBFZ will be a no show for "unspecified" reasons. Might be unrelated to Evo Japan 2019 but seems like Toei is butting in and keeping DBFZ from being included in tournament lineups.
Why are Japanese companies so stupid?
Supposedly it's licensing issues, but Nintendo are just being cunts. Rumor is Smash was only allowed at the regular Evo if they promised to feature Arms.
Mcribs is already saying that DBFZ might be a one and done at Evo because of this nonsense.
It's well documented that Toei is dumb as fuck with how they handle their properties, but this is some next level shit.
If DBFZ doesn't make it to Evo though then that's pretty much a rap since if even they can't get it with the connections and clout they possess, then it doesn't look good for other TOs. If Toei keeps up with the bullshit though, the game can at least survive as a strictly side tournament game with no stream time (or advertisement by the TOs thus no pot bonuses most likely). The only reason I can think of for Toei doing this is that they are possibly starting their own league/tour or sanctioning only certain events for another tour next year.
On another note, Goichi and Kazunoko both started playing Granblue Fantasy recently which is incredibly funny to me and Kazunoko is fucking lucksack.
Or Toei doesn't need the free advertising and marketing for what's the most recognizable and popular anime in the world.
They are notoriously tight-fisted with their IP because they don't need help marketing it, since its popular by it being, well, it.
