2025 was a solid year for movies you just need to leave the Oscars orbit to see a lot of them. Train Dreams and No Other Choice were absolute beauts, Sinners, Bring Her Back, Weapons great genre fun, Yorgos don't miss with Bugonia, Frankenstein was pretty, Dust Bunny inspired, Sentimental Value sentimental, The Housemaid fuckin sucked, your mom is pretty.

Snyder shoots films the way 15 year olds fuck each other, lot of enthusiasm, not much sophistication

one battle after another is probably going to win a lot tonight. the only award i think it should win easily is best director for pta, anything else it wins is because of it being a weak year

the girl from hamnet winning best actress is probably a lock

michael b jordan winning best actor would be a crime (weak year, but chalomet should win)

i feel like train dreams should have been nominated more. at least the lead and macy should have been nominated

speaking of train dreams, i feel like a lot of the movies this year had sudden/unsatisfying endings

overall my favorite film of the year was bugonia because it was perfectly weird and im stunned plemons wasn’t nominated

i fell asleep watching sentimental value last night so its not allowed to win anything
