i saw it, i am mixed.

Just saw it, liked it a lot! Gave off the same kind of vibe as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Loved it. Super random. I don't know how they convinced Michelle Yeoh to do it, or if general audiences are ready for it... But I thought it was hilarious and well done.

I know nothing about this movie, only even watched the trailer because of these posts. Debating taking the wife to it for a matinee Tuesday for $18. I didn't like or care for Scott Pilgrim, but that's probably casting and the movie in general.

All I see is this movie having incredible reviews and ratings and it making me think of things like parasite or Manchester that flew under the radar at first or didn't have great marketing. I don't wanna miss something like that.

Is it actually funny? Is it feel good? We gonna cry? Family values? It comes off as something my wife might want subtitles for, but to me looks like a play on one of my favorite movies ever... Jet Li's The One.

i think manchester by the sea and parasite are both fantastic and found scott pilgrim more enjoyable than this movie. i won't say it didnt have it's highs but at times for me personally it felt drawn out and anime slapsticky. there is one scene you may shed a tear at, but it will be overshadowed by half a movie of fluff and other shit. everyone else seems to like it for whatever reason so who knows how rare my opinion is tho

i got the same vibes i get when i'm watching an anime that i am really enjoying and could rec to a normal person but that suddenly goes full anime tropes and fails to take anything seriously to the point where i begin to hate the medium in totality

Dang. I thought death on the Nile was trash, even worse than orient express. I did watch a good mystery movie recently called The Outfit. Better than the aforementioned both combined.
