Those last scenes of Red Room will send you into a full blown panic. It's as good of a David Fincher movie as you're going to get.

I need to watch The Brutalist still.

And just a quick note about Nosferatu. Before watching it, I had seen a headline. The headline included 5 words and those 5 words ruined what would have been an otherwise great movie. But it absolutely ruined it. This is NOT a spoiler, but I'm going to spoil it because you absolutely should not read these 5 words before watching the film.

He did not. But you wouldn't know it if you didn't look at the credits. It's almost indistinguishable. I'm actually half way into it now. My daughter asked to watch a psych thriller earlier today, school was cancelled due to weather, so we're watching it now. It's so well shot. Just a great movie.

Also rewatching Twin Peaks intermittently, when I'm up with the baby.

local fanciest pants theater ran a Lynch retrospective following his death, scoped Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Mullholand Drive, and Wild at Heart over the past couple weeks. my concluding judgement is that David Lynch was an insane person and we were lucky to have him.

i've seen a lot of horror in my day but i'm not sure i'll ever see anything that'll shake me the way eraserhead did

I always imagine Lynch pitching Blue Velvet.

It's a noir mystery/thriller. Severed ear is found by a young man. Young man helps a detectives daughter investigate the case. Suspect seduces the young man. Child gets abducted. Box. Office. Smash.

Then he makes Blue Velvet.

Working on Hulu/Starz stuff that's leaving at the end of the month.

If you havn't seen it, Broadcast News is worth a watch.
Also Wall Street, but people are more likely to have seen it.

Isabella Rossellini (nominated for Conclave) wore a blue velvet dress to the Oscar's and sat with Laura Dern (She and Dern played in Lynch's 'Blue Velvet').

I need to rewatch it myself because I remember really liking it.

But nowadays I always get scenes and plot points confused between Gattaca and that shitty Christian Bale movie Equilibrium.
