I didn't really get what was happening with that space station and the head of a sentinel. Is all that stuff supposed to make sense later or did I just miss something obvious?
    Spoiler: show
Seems like a new version of Master Mold. Basically a giant Sentinel creating factory.

But since this is a Hickman series you won't have anything figured out until it comes to an end.

Oh, that seems like its the best case scenario. From what I gather, you just need to know what Professor X has been dead and now is no longer and you can jump into this series. Pretty cool.

So the other book that I read is Spider-gwen, I got into that because it seemed like it'd be the easiest thing to get into since, crossovers aside, its pretty contained in its own universe. But later this month they're relaunching it so Gwen (now Ghost Spider) now goes to school in 616. Kinda annoying to me, but I guess they want more crossover stuff since the Spiderverse movie was so popular.

I do hope there's a scene where the college counselor explain how college credits transfer cross universes though.

The space station is a leftover built by Tony Stark back before Secret Wars, when they were dealing with Incursions. It's been repurposed by this new organization Orchis. The giant Sentinel head is Master Mold's.

She's been a surprise hit for marvel from very first spider event, enough that they gave her the solo series.
This is not the first time gwen been stranded from her home reality tho and looks like perfect excuse to hang out with Miles Morales Spider-man again.

When you have time you should check out both spiderverse events in the comics.
They are really good and you don't really need to know too much going in to enjoy them.

There is also a venomverse event that is unrelated to spiderverse, but if you like venom it is cool wacky bonkers as well.

Oh yeah I read all the Spiderverse and Spidergeddon stuff, I'm just disappointed if they abandon Earth 65 to focus on teamups in 616. I'd have preferred if they fleshed out 65 + Gwen's rogue gallery. What they did with Murdock was really cool.

I hope at some point they start calling Marvel the Prime Universe, that was supposed to be the big takeaway from Secret Wars.

Marvel abandoned that plot point pretty quickly, once they got Miles Morales into the 616 it was mission acomplished lets move on.

I wouldn't worry too much, its probably just setup because of upcoming carnage crossover event.

Spider-Man must remain 27 years old at all times and the rest of Marvel's history has to accommodate.

Hickman's writing and planning continues to impress. The prose parts were heavier and reminiscent of his work on Black Monday Murders, but he's taking on 4 timelines at once while integrating his own previous work on FF and Avengers with Morrison and Whedon's runs. I'm awed by his planning and skill in story structure.

My dream scenario is they just let him age after he's gone through university again. We have so many fucking spiderpeople in 616, keeping him young is really unnecessary.

Yeah, I like what I've seen so far. This is the first Hickman run I'm reading so I have high expectations with the hype. What's really cool is that I was kinda expecting each issue to take on a certain timeline, but if we get a peak of all 4 timelines each issue, that's reallly cool. It reminds me of True Detective S3, which did that with three timelines. Also its really cute how that plays with the "powers of 10" title.

Finished reading powers, this is even better than I was hoping for. I feel like I'm 9 again waiting for the next issue to come out.

I'm still kinda confused, but I'm definitely enjoying the story so far. The jumping between time periods this issue just made me want to know more about the events that unfolded considering there seems to be a significant change each time we jump.

Also managed to grab a variant cover with Wolverine and Silver Samurai (?). Was that, the normal one, or a chibi looking thing.

I will be shocked if a chimera mutant with 10 different powers does not show up in Powers of X.

Also I'm starting to doubt the theory that these X-Men are Krakoa clones because it seems too obvious now... or are we supposed to think it's too obvious so we doubt it??

    I loved Nimrod.

I don't think Hickman would ignore his previous works but both FF and Avengers that he wrote had very different futures shown. Think this will be addressed?

House of X #2 is out and goddamn.

    Spoiler: show
Some of those Moira time lines are dark as fuck and I would be all in on a side series about just them.

Yeah, I certainly didn't see it going that direction and I'm loving it.
