Just saw that Jason Aaron, Jesús Saiz, Paul Azaceta, and Dave Stewart are doing a 13-issue Punisher series. Sounds like a great team for Frank Castle.

IDW Publishing became the fifth-most popular comic book publisher in America on the strength of adaptations of beloved franchises like Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Orphan Black, and CSI. But now two of its most popular series are being taken away: The company will lose both the Transformers and G.I. Joe licenses at the end of this year.

They ended their 2005 continuity a few years ago, but also started a new one in 2019, so that's a pretty big bummer. The new continuity hasn't been great (it's still super early), but the 2005 continuity told some of the best stories in Transformers history, so I was willing to give them time to get there.

At least they still have TMNT..

IDW had also lost the Star Wars all age comic rights recently to Dark Horse. Marvel still has the main license but IDW had been handling the all age Adventures series.

What kind of story is Saga? Is it like an action/adventure thing or is there a hook?

It's sci fi with magic + political/race war overtones.

Also talking seals and cats with dashes of nudity and gratuitous violence

The overarching story is about a young girl and her family's experiences growing up in wartime, with all of the aforementioned stuff thrown in.

Just finished The Strange Talent of Luther Strode. What a book. Lots of fun, but Extremely graphic violence.

The license holder for Conan the Barbarian is recalling it as they would like to make their own comic. Conan currently has 3 ongoing titles at Marvel: Conan the Barbarian, King Conan, and Savage Avengers. They have until December to come to a new agreement but with Conan entering public domain in 6 years it feels like the license holder wants to make as much money off of him as possible while they can.

Comixology seems ridiculously convoluted every time I build the patience back up to try it again. Am I just dumb?

Comixology was a lot easier and then Amazon built it into Kindle. It's a disaster now.
