Recommend reading the full press release, but tl;dr Bill Willingham was getting screwed over and treated like shit by DC, not interested in an expensive drawn out lawsuit, so Fables is now public domain.

Pam Lifford has resigned over at DC. She was letting Jim Lee pretty much run the show but was still incredibly influential regarding all the corporate moves related to DC and WB. Highlights: She fired Dan DiDio. Lowlights: She made the call to reprint the Black Label Batman without Bruce Wayne's penis being visible.

By all accounts she didn't care much about comic books but was excellent at managing brands.

The Dawn of DC stuff they've kicked off the last couple months has been really good, I hope whoever steps into the role next lets the train keep running.
