Speaking of Hickman, East of West is a great one by him and it's complete.

Manhattan Projects as well, but that one got very very weird even for Hickman

Oh, the original Superior Spider-Man can probably go into the "generational" category. It's been diluted by storylines after the fact but at the time of its publishing it was astounding.

    "The one and only."

    All time comic book page.

Shout out as well to Go Down Swinging, the conclusion of Slott's AMS run.

One line and Norman instantly knows it's Peter again, such an *ahem* Amazing moment.

You can generally never go wrong with Amazing Spider-Man. Even at its worst like the peak of the Clone Saga it's always been an above average read. ASM is pretty much the only Marvel or DC series I always keep up with, everything else is usually in burst chunks a couple times a year.

Added a lot of these to my read later list as I can only have a certain number out at a time (real rough when the saga volumes are only 6 issues each so getting all 12 was most of my slots, haha)

With my new dog I can't go out as frequently so I just get as many in one go as I can, gonna try to grab Descender and Preacher first, my branch looked to have both complete runs available.

Also will look into doing digital versions where I can't get them physical, hate reading on my monitor but on my phone its not terrible (having to finish Invincible that way since they don't have the third compendium)

Some indie recs. These may or may not be completed.

    -Lazarus
-Ice Cream Man (doesn't need to be complete as it's a horror anthology)
-Fire Power by Hickman (Complete, and way better than any comic about a generic "a guy can shoot fireballs" has any right to be)
-Kill or be killed - Complete
-Nailbiter - Complete but it does kinda have a meh ending, worth the ride though.
-The Power Fantasy - Ongoing, but one of the absolute best things I've read recently. The end of the current arc (volume 3) is also a good stopping point so it won't quite feel like a cliffhanger
    -Paper Girls - Complete
    -One and Future - Complete
    -Something is Killing the Children
-Eight Billion Genies - Complete, only 8 issues too
-The Nice House on the Lake - sorta complete, they are on the next arc "The Nice House by the sea"
-On the same note, literally anything by James Tynion IV

So picked up Descender and Preacher, there was another series by Lemire, Gideon Falls that I didn't get yet due to limit on checkouts but I did impulse grab Oblivion Song by Kirkman. I'll dive in after I finish the new Dungeon Crawler Carl.

Yessssss! Glad to know there’s at least one other dcc fan here. I finished book 8 months ago on patreon and just finished the audible version. Doing round 3 now of my full series listen/read. I’ve been hooked since around 2022 and so glad it’s finally getting popular.

Enjoy the ride with 8. I honestly don’t think it’s as good as some of the others but the highs are very high with numerous parts being some of my favorites in the series.

Some people getting M.A.S.K. blind bags are finding a surprise ROM #1 one-shot included as the character is added to the Energon universe.

Oblivion Song was fine, but didn't blow me away, probably why I hadn't heard of it. Also read Batman: Earth One, which was an impulse grab, saw it on the shelf and knew the name Geoff John's. Just started Preacher, the "Go Fuck Yourself" and subsequent "bring me my gun" really sets the tone (somewhat expectedly, bc Ennis.)
Was the show pretty good? Remember watching the pilot but fell behind and never went back to it, love Rudy Gilgun (and other former cast from Misfits like Robert Sheehan and Iwan Rheon) so I always wanted to circle back.

The show isn't nearly as good as the book (granted the Preacher comic is undoubtedly the best thing Ennis ever wrote along with his Punisher run) and gets very rushed towards the end. But it's still generally pretty entertaining and the main cast does a fantastic job.

A comic shop near me just added $1 bins and had a ton of stuff I was missing. I'm very close now to complete runs of every Fantastic Four volume besides the first (I have just under half of that).

Related in regards to complete runs, was buying something else on Amazon and the algorithm suggested the compendium of The Wicked + Divine and its 1448 pages of goodness for 33 bucks and damnit I couldn't resist.

8400~ comics all bagged, boarded, boxed, and mostly organized. Just need to make room for the unsorted ones on top. Ignore the short box, that one is doubles.

Honestly never read it but heard good things and Tynion is a really good writer, especially for horror stuff like that.

His Nice House on the Lake/Nice House by the Sea is great horror
