I'll admit if Glimesh wants to compete they better have a miracle or something they can pull out of the depths of their ass. Though it doesn't matter much for me in the long run since I doubt I'll ever stream. Between my voice being shit, being about as interesting as a potato, and the general fear I'd slip up reveal my real name/etc. it just seems like a waste of time.

Make a "Just Camwhoring" section, pretend to age gate it with a confirmation like any other site, no one can argue anymore.

It's basically why I only use YouTube for music/background noise. Only people I only watch now are VTubers because I'm a filthy weeb.

You can blame the Youtube algorithm for shit like that. Its apparently what gets the most clicks cause you know, the unimaginable quantity of teenie-boppers and pre-teens that use Youtube these days are drawn to jumbled shit I guess.

I have noticed this with my son. He is 9 and started watching youtube videos. I am trying to prevent the bad habits before they develop. Right now he mostly watches videos on Monster Hunter World which he is playing through and likes to look up help. I want him to watch more SciShow and content like that though. Youtube can be such a crap place if you aren't careful.

It's okay to be smart, asap science, veritasium, smarter every day, stuff made here, minute physics. All decent science and engineering channels, even if some of the stuff they talk about is pretty entry level
