Also not sure if this is really considered YT drama, but one of the Paul brothers was in a boxing match with a retired professional boxers and apparently if it could become a shitshow, it did. People were telling me the fight was complete trash and the people that bought a ticket to stream it couldn't even watch it.

From what I watched of the match (round 3ish to the end) there was about a handful of punches thrown a round, lots of hugging, and no real move to ever get a win from Floyd, who was clearly winning the fight.

Watched some of the new stream, so far it's exactly like the old stream but with lower overhead. I really feel bad for Jeff and GB but honestly the business model is outdated and they're leaving too much money on the table just for some corporate entity to take it. Nextlander is doing it right, I'm sure they're seeing those sub numbers and instantly feel a little better about their decision.

The only thing I know about Floyd is I've seen the name on BG before lol, he means nothing to me, and I don't get nor care about any of the "Beat the shit out of eachother" sports like MMA or Boxing or Wrestling.

On the flip side, the only reason i Know who the Paul brothers are is because of BG as well, and the shit they pulled in Japan, and that they're Youtubers.

He must not be as popular as you think Punchball Signature guy. I know both MJ and TW though, I even know some Baseball dudes and a Football player or two. I don't follow most if any sports and I basically never watch Cable TV these days (Netflix/Youtube/etc are my go to), and unless i've come across their name in pop culture or, again, through BG, I don't learn them. Football/Baseball I used to watch as a Kid, only know Michael Jordan because of how much of a "Superstar" he was, though frankly I know Shaq and Kobe and them too but most of that is pop culture.

Its really quite simple, I don't follow boxing, didn't grew up liking it, didn't know anybody in my family who followed it either. No dad, cousin, anything. Its easy to be out of the loop when you don't care about being in the loop and nobody around you is in the loop to educate you about it either lol.

I mean look at it this way, Pikachu, and by extent Pokemon is a fucking pop culture Icon you'd have to be living under a rock not to know what those names are, but there are a LOT of people out there who dont know anything about Pokemon aside from the name itself.
