Bet no one knows who Lewis Hamilton is here, but he is also considered a sport icon, albeit a crybaby most of the time if he doesn’t get his way. Lionel Messi is a sport icon as well, you can’t fault people for not caring about certain sports. Lol i know Mayweather is extremely iconic, but i’m pretty sure Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, and Foreman are more iconic.

maybe i'm more of a sports guy than i have imagined in my brain, i don't watch anything live just youtube compilations lol but i can't fathom not knowing who messi, hamilton, or mayweather is just by sheer virtue of stardom you almost have to actively avoid it to not know these guys

it's just weird to flex the ignorance like it's something to be proud of. Mayweather is either the very best boxer of his generation or the second best after Pacquiao and he's frequently the highest paid athlete in all sports, his fights are some of the biggest cultural events in the world. it's strange to pretend like it's beneath you while posting about some YouTube scandal like it's important.
