It got banned because Chinese state TV had asian games broadcast rights and when the esports tournaments were on they broadcast athletics instead, the chinese versions of twitch were banning streams super fast so they streamed them on twitch instead, allegedly 1mill+ viewers watching the twitch streams of it.
