I don't know if this should go here since it is Instagram or in the PC Principle thread but apparently a famous cosplayer Belle Delphine promised her 3m+ instagram subscribers if one of her images got 1 million likes that she would start a pornhub channel. Well it got close to 2 million likes so she did and now all she is uploading to the channel is silly videos of her playing with stuffed animals and everyone is super pissed about it. https://www.instagram.com/belle.delphine/?hl=en

I mean realistically have you looked at her instagram? I can see how someone wouldn't think it is that far of a leap to making porn videos solo style. Any chance she would do hardcore with some other dude or chick? very unlikely. Chance she would post masturbation videos and topless dancing videos? Not that far of a stretch given her content. That being said the outrage because that didn't happen is supremely stupid.

Speaking as a fellow lady, the jump from doing the stuff on her insta to any kind of pornographic material is something you can never go back from. It'll always be there reminding you of that stupid shit you did (if you end up regretting it) because the internet is forever. You can dress up like a whore and make whore faces and just say you're acting for money but as soon as you take that step over the line you're not acting anymore.

It's getting really mixed reviews from the streamers I'm following. Most saying they won't use it, but could see how it might interest others. Seen some people talk about using it for "afterparty" streams following a normal stream.

One really interesting take came from Dr. Lupo:

extremely rare usage inbound. Example - when my dad passed away, I streamed shortly after because I needed to just get the emotion out. Doing so in a sub-only stream would have prevented the number of videos that were produced to profit off of my reaction to his passing. Would have prevented the amount of "lol yur dad died" from non-subs in the following weeks, too, I think.

I can only see it work if it is used in a "once every 6+ months" capacity with a really solid community that can survive the blowback. If someone goes full on "sub onry all the time" their channel will die in a month.
