How is SMN in the current game? Was thinking of taking that to 99 as well. I liked SMN for 75 content. I used it to try to solo a lot of stuff. Almost got a solo Khim, but at like 3% I got hit with a Fulmination on the "winning" run.

Better than ever. Might be seen as bandwagon, since it kinda has been for certain things, but outside of abusing Conduit it's a pretty well rounded job these days.

You should roll with us homies on Sylph and leave Assura behind. Get down with the Sylphilis. As a fellow noob getting some starter 119 gear is easy, especially for the most part your AF/RF/ to +1. I'm sure you have a ton of seals to do some events and spamming exp to 30 merits and spamming battlefields for tales is easy enough as well.

My dudecat on Sylph is same name and I'm pretty much logged in 24/7 but not always there so send a tell if you're around!

Is there room in the Sylph shell for a rando like me? I started playing again(last time was 2006 and I never did much back then) on Asura because my friend had a character there already. He ended up quitting after 3 days even with all the travelling improvements. Mostly been doing story and trying to find anything I can solo for gear since trying to get into Ambu groups in my level of gear is a fun experience.

Is there anything hard in endgame?

Omen bosses, Dynamis Divergence bosses, some Escha stuff. Nothing impossible. There is the stupid hard fight that only allows people with mastered jobs on. But I don’t recall that it even drops anything, it’s just one of those “do it to prove you are elite” type fights.

I believe so. But yeah he's right some content is still pretty hard if you're just picking back up from scratch. Tackling Warder of Courage and Kirin can be a huge cockblock if you're not geared up for it.

PLD does great, a well geared RUN is just far superior is just about everything.

I've been spending all my time on Asura but I think tonight I will actually log into Sylph and grab a pearl for all the BG people who play there.

I have the best gear Sparks can buy so I look like I'm ready to start killing Mandragoras in Yuhtunga.
