I dont look for arguments, angry people like you constantly try to attack me like you have nothing better to do. Then he goes with the personal attacks, youre so predictable. I literally came into the thread to answer a guys questions by saying crafting has been plagued with hacks and cheats since forever, then I get people quoting me with stupid stuff.

The ffxiah staff took down that addon post quite fast, not sure why you feel the need to attack anyone and everyone, youre so filled with hate. I wouldnt be surprised that most of the people creating addons ,and involved in all that, probably have abused the system as well.

At this point people constantly bash this game and say its dumb, dead, etc including yourself. You have people openly posting testimonial videos that circumvent game mechanics with addons, people stopped caring. Most of your examples have been within recent years, as SE stops caring about the game so do its players.

Even without this particular exploit, Crafting has been the domain of botters/exploiters since before I left the game at least and SE never gave any indication that they cared. You guys act like SE is failing to respond to an acute crisis because you just found out about it.

Furthermore, the effect you're complaining about (rising prices) is presumably due to SE responding to the exploit by banning the exploiters. They probably don't even have the infrastructure to monitor the exploit directly, let alone a dev that will learn and fix the crafting system's logic for them, but they are attempting to discourage the behavior likely by banning accounts with improbable numbers of rare crafts.

I'm sure the "we're 6 people and none of us are devs" interview was intended to set expectations a bit and honestly I wonder whether this month's update was pushed because 3 of them are spending all their time figuring out who is exploiting.

Ideal fix to this issue:
completely trash the crafting system, uncap crafts for everyone, make it considerably easier to make shields, make it so anyone could craft their own su5 with better than 1.5% odds if they wanted to put in some effort
remove the cartel feel and price fixing/manipulation from the ffxi auction house

Been a long time since I skilled up a craft....if I want to skill alchemy up to 106, I can use any recipe up to 95 now?

a-materials are abundant
b-materials are cheaper
c-less materials required per synth

It can now, yes, but the mules need to have a decent amount of RoV progress to augment it.

Have to get all the way up to 3-1...that seems like a lot of effort, but I'm guessing someones made the effort since they noted on the 3-1 mission for this specific cut off.

Yes. You can choose keep as many times as you want, but of course you only get the last one.

Was just looking at the Community SAM guide (https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Community_Samurai_Guide) and it recommends Flamma pieces for Tachi: Shoha, mentioning how they have a decent amount of magic accuracy. Why is magic accuracy a good thing for Shoha but not other weaponskills?

No it specifically says Shoha. For Ageha it clearly lays out its for landing the defense down which makes sense, but no explanation for mentioning magic accuracy for Shoha, I was wondering if it was a brain fart type error.

"Flamma pieces combine a decent amount of MA and mods, and work better for shoha.", this is under the Shoha labeled gearset, Ageha is elsewhere.

No, like soloing by myself with trusts when I have free time. I haven't really seen any shouts for CP parties on Ragnarok and I can't always commit to the longer CP grinds my linkshell likes to do. I haven't really tried to CP since returning to the game so I generally have no idea what camps people think are good or where to go.
