if you do it during prime time (6pm-8pm PST) you'll wait like 11 spots or so.

let's be real tho we're all WFH and doing nothing, do it at noon and you'll have no wait on asura either

Do FoV books spawn in random areas or something? Remember seeing them right outside when I played eons ago. None in sight now.

They are typically at specific zone entrances.

Check your widescan. In some cases, may be a little tucked away around the corner. In others, it may just not be at that zone line. West Ronfaure, for instance, has a book at the South Sandy entrance, but not the North one.

Is there any Omen I can solo with a fair but not top-tier geared cor and trusts? Have most of the good trusts except ygnas, monberaux, and kupofried

You'd be able to solo farm cards and Astrals no problem. Bosses would be near-impossible for you besides maybe Gin.

That would be okay, I mostly want cards for gear upgrades...how do I solo farm cards?

When you enter Omen, on each floor, once you pull the first mob you get a set of objectives you need to complete. These give cards. Right now there's a campaign going on to make it a little more generous. Card farming is extremely slow. Especially solo.

I wouldnt recommend it unless you need the gil from the astrals. You'd get more cards going with a group so you can hit more objectives.

The books that visually show on the maps are survival guides.

Also, Gad if your comment was about wide scan, all jobs get it now. Not the full range as RNG or even BST, but enough if you're in the general area looking for something.

I tried. I got one card, and couldn't do the 30k WS one.

it is very useful when it comes to upgrading REMA/su5/neck+2s unless you are going to buckle down for a long grind

Upgrading a +2 weapon like rostam off the AH is about 75m, so it’s 200-215 M for the +2 Su5 upgraded with no dynamis grind.

But you can get a lot of very good gear without touching the AH and just putting in time.

That has always been true though.

Most importantly getting to 99 can net you a couple M easy along the way, so getting to 99 you don’t need things like snipers rings or peacock charms
