Other than farming 50m and buying the cells from the AH, is there a somewhat reasonable way to get a pulse weapon solo? Mostly in Ambuscade gear (mummu +1) on thf and am close to finishing an Ochain for an ambuscade geared pld (thanks for the help with my Abyssea questions before, 53 dragon horns to go...). Also have around 1k domain invasion points so i could level and ambuscade gear/800 point weapon another job if needed.

If you do monthly RoE missions for a year or something they give you one for free. There is a voidwatch campaign active right now if you want to try and farm one. Also, the gob box has given me three.

Omen card farming very much depends on the jobs. Some jobs it is great on and some it blows. RUN and MNK were great. DNC and THF were fine. Mage jobs suck. Overall, I don't worry too much about the three lesser objectives (try to hit them if I can, but don't sweat it) and make sure I kill everything with TH for the Astrals. 3-4 cards per run without campaign.

In addition to what's already been mentioned, there's the (potential) long-term route of Potpourri - essentially, turning in items to unlock categories of old gear, and then paying a lot of merit points for them. If, however, you find yourself sitting at capped merit points a lot anyway, then ensuring you have the buff on that channels additional merits earned into your potpourri stock may end up paying off.

People have gotten a good number of pulse weapons from the NNI campaign (not currently on). It's very, very random, but it's usually decent to do if you're planning a Mythic at some point anyway.

They are also a possible item to get from AMAN Trove, though again, hard to bank on.


While it does not sound like you'd have much success with soloing them yet, the other common way to go is to just farm the Zi'Tah T3 NMs. I'd put the drop rate like D.Ring. So, not great, but if you keep at it you'll get one. Again though, probably need to be geared better first, or get help (duo+ is preferable for speed if nothing else anyway).

'course, also keep in mind that plenty of people out there have already made all the Ambuscade weapons, or all of them they care to, and end up just offering Pulse weapons they happen across to LS (if possible). So it may also pay off to just socialize and get word out you'd need one.

I killed that guy so so so so so many times and have never seen those stupid H2h weapons lol. Gobbie Dial can give Pulse's too, right? I swear I got Asteria from Gobbie Dial. That said, I've gotten 2 from NNI too. Meeble Burrows has possible Pulse weapon drops too but IDK what its like to do that these days.

I'm in PlayYourWay. Good peeps that do Dynamis D, Vagary, Omen. We often have more attendence than slots since all are limited to 18 people. They also jump in to open doors and help people do RoV missions. It's a nice mix.

ive done 6200'ish Aello VW fights this month, not one pulse drop...

did one empy weapon though and made absolute bank, so not complaining as I went for the HMP's, but still, that's the drop rate you are looking at
