Are you telling your lua to differentiate between specific spells or have you kept it generalized to things like elemental or dark magic? If the latter, it sounds like it's defaulting to whatever you associate to that spell tree so it gets swapped mid-cast.

For the Neo Nyzul campaign going on right now, if I'm trying to get one of the trove-only rings that can drop here while the event is on, do I have to try and find NMs that drop ??? rings? Because there's only 3 of them.

I think so, yes. It's probably not an efficient way to farm them unless you also want Pulse weapons or something.

I could use one more Pulse to finish my Shining One so I guess I'll aim for that and hope some rings show up as well.

Heroism aggregates on Asura have pretty steadily been 150k for as long as I've been paying attention to the price, then about 3 or so days ago someone planted themselves next to Oboro and started selling them for 70k each, and I mean like 20 stacks at a time. So far they've been cleared out twice from what I've seen but just restocked today, so we're talking close to 6000 aggregates. Is this RMT trying to dump them for some reason?

Sounds like an exploit to me. They are probably exploiting to get them and pricing at 1/2 market to move them fast.

I find that exploits tend to go unpatched (even if reported) until someone starts moving the market significantly with them.

I returned recently after a long time. feels super good, especially getting my original account back.

My character is on Valefor which seems to be JP onry. Any suggestions on which server to transfer to? with the world transfer service discount i think i should figure that out now.

I been playing for a month now and do enjoy soloing and am not at 99 yet, but would like to be on a more active server for the AH and find some people to group with for BCNM or stuff like Divine Might.

appreciate the help from everyone in the BG discord so far FFXI really holds up all these years later.

Bahamut is the new server to be on, Asura is where you go to not do anything in pugs because no one wants to do something without being paid for it.

I have a regular group for Omen and Dyna-D on Asura but the Sortie group I had didn't work out and getting into anything Odyssey-related has been like pulling teeth.

Anyone playing the game on 50xx graphics cards? Just booted the game up for the first time since getting my 5070 and I'm seeing weird graphical anomalies akin to frame generation errors I've seen in videos for other games over time. Problem is, I'm not sure how I'd force disable that for XI and if I'd have to focus it on Ashita, polboot.exe, or some other file.

I feel so old... Been playing since the game came out on PS2. Started I think on shiva/Alexander. They merged then went to Odin. Story still is wonderful. I'm just shocked FF14 got a port before 11... Just big wowzers. I'm sure i'll be around to pester people but heya! Hope you are all well.

Yeah I know this thread is dead(as is most of this section haha) and I had to dig for my BG password, but just saying that I officially came back to the game yesterday after not really playing since midway through Visions of Abyssea, or whatever that first one was. I've tried some comebacks in the past but the motivation to stay wasn't there then. I retired from FFXIV after playing that for 13 yrs, that game wasn't fun anymore. Anyway, my SCH is 91 and still stuck in 75-78 era gear til I hit 99. Running around, I had completely forgotten how to get to a lot of places and had to constantly check the map LOL. Main motivation is past me was lazy and did stupid shit and going to make corrections while the game is still running. That's going to be a bit harder with less people playing on Bahamut(only was 926 online yesterday at the time I was playing) but I expected that from an almost 30 yr game.

I love lockstyle. Now I can walk around looking like a SCH and not some cursed thing LOL.

I recently finished my new char through Dawntrail challenge a few weeks ago and trying to figure out how much gil I should try to save up for Evercold, and maybe a few suggestions of stuff to do for it. I know there's going to be a lot of handout gear through the early MSQ, figured I'd hit a wall in the post MSQ stuff again. This is a character with nothing other than one class unlocked and used up all the gil I earned through MSQ to buy equipment for the final gear checks. I've done almost nothing extra on it other than collab quests, and Gold Saucer, though I am rank 10 Island Sanctuary for some reason. This Treasure Trove has been brutal since I have little unlocked for it. Should I just try my luck at marbles on twitch at nightclubs? lol

Putting aside this is the XI section (and the possibility of being a bot, I guess...), you'll just want to collect tomestones and get the upgraded gear. As past expansions go, that usually works until level X6 or X7, but depending on class, can tough it out until the MSQ likely gives you a new gear set before the final dungeon/battle. No gil really required at all.

Nope, just old and dumb and put in wrong section. Sorry, feel free to delete and/or ignore it. I did look at the tomestones vendor and saw that DT uses a different currency (mathematics?) than the previous ones which is why I ran into the ilevel wall.
