Yeah the platinum for this game is pretty easy. Not really grindy at all

The lack of optional content having a trophy attached to it is rather staggering, they bothered to put one on for getting max level in all of the character trait things. However getting max level on your chocobo doesn't reward you with one? It feels like they rushed all the achievements.

I mean, Gladio's and the choco level are pretty much the same thing though, aren't they? They both level up the more you run around and not use the car so it seems kind of redundant?

You could still technically get Gladio maxxed and never ride a chocobo though (not enough to get it to rank 10 that's for sure).

That was kind of my point though, you'd basically just be doing the same thing twice for two trophies, once on foot and once via a hired giant chicken.

Personally wish they had some fishing centric trophies. The first time I caught a Pink Jade Gar was one of the biggest feelings of accomplishment in this game lol.

Man, while I have all the DLC since I started on the PC edition in march, these blanks their absence must have made on the main game must have sucked, even I find it annoying when people suddenly come back with this or that and no explanation.

(though, I do appreciate more Aranea in tight leather pants...!)

Movie in itself is a great FF story, I felt it was better then FFXV as a lore story, back when the base game came out. It does provide a lot of lore and let's you know what happened in Insomnia while Noctis was bromancing out in the desert.

The movie as a stand-alone movie is total ass lol. But why anyone would watch it as a stand-alone is also kind of stupid. As for adding story to this game it's worth a watch and if you play the comrades expansion at all it adds to that too. You'll want to watch it to answer what actually happened at the end of Chapter 3 I think? I forget which chapter specifically but you'll for sure know when it is as the game gives you NOTHING AT ALL at that point lol

Brotherhood is a fun anime add-on too. Doesn't add a ton to the game's story specifically but does add some nice depth to the boy's bromance and roadtrip

The sale is good for a number of days so I have time. I don't mind non Steam games (ie: Uplay, Origin, GoG) but I've never bought a PC game that wasn't tied to some type of service, unless we're counting Windows as that service. I wasn't a PC gamer during the Windows Live era.

That does seem like a pretty good deal, but it is so hard to recommend this game until they actually "finish" it. The never ending DLC just makes me super annoyed with this game even though I did enjoy playing through it when it had first come out.

There is nothing tied to steam that will make you wish you bought it on that platform tbh. You'll get all the DLC along with a beautifully made game. Well worth $25, and you probably won't find it cheaper until the christmas holiday season. Maybe.

The game is as good as finished with the Royal Edition. Anything else is just additional content.
